imo - This 2021 design has lost its identity. Put it side by side with a Mazda CX, step inside, the Mazda wins hands down for both material quality and design. This 2021 GLA is meeeh.... from the original concept

That concept had nothing to do with the GLA. It was just a one off that merely hinted at the next G-Class, which didn't look anything like it either.
Well, just be reminded that most transverse-engined AWD vehicles, including the GLA250, run primarily in FWD and only engage the rears as necessary to maintain traction.
We went with AWD in MA for the enhanced Winter traction but the FWD in FL for improved gas mileage. I really don't notice any difference in their operation in similar driving conditions.
I believe the GLA45, as the AMG performance variant, is more computer algorithm rear biased, as again many similar vehicle layouts.
