GLB garage door opener

The garage door opener is an option? $280.00? I wonder how many people will miss that when ordering?

Check with your dealer but on my window sticker it says Rear Side Airbags were added to the order. Cost is $420 + I think a $ 250 special order fee. Dont want to miss those if have rear seat pasengers.

I'm not seeing the Rear Side Airbags as an option with the Online Configurator. It comes with 9 airbags. Is this additional rear side airbags for the 7th seater option?

Rear SIde Airbags needed for 2020 GLE https://mbworld.org/forums/gle-class...ml#post7909183
From MBUSA. Option 293 is for rear side airbags. The standard 9 includes Driver/Passenger front (2), Driver/Passenger Side (2), Driver/Passenger Pelvic (2), Driver Knee (1), side curtain (2). The option is for driver/passenger side 2nd row side airbags. So you can have a total of 11 airbags.

There is a "Special Order Options" section when ordering. Ordering any option from this section will incur an additional $250 cost to your build on top of whatever special options you select. The airbags are $420, so the total would be $670 added to the invoice.

Do you know where this is for the GLB?

It would be in the dealer ordering guide/order system. You won't find it on the MBUSA website configurator.

I didn't order. I got a car off the lot. I haven't picked it up yet but I can't find out anything about a garage door opener. Oh well.

The garage door opener is an option. I got some song and dance saying that many people don't want Home Link because it gets hacked. I wanted it so I switched cars. I pick up the car this afternoon.

I've honestly never seen a Mercedes with so many add-ons. And there are the dealer add-ons like tinted windows and a tracking system and nitrogen in the tires. Not a happy sales experience but nearly all the Mercedes dealerships in my state are owned by one man so I don't have much choice.

My dear departed mom could turn a phrase. "There's BS, and then there's unadulterated BS". Homelink hacked? So the door itself could be as well. I retrofited 3 cars with the same Homelink mirror.

I ended up getting a GLB with a garage door opener. It was very easy to set up and works fine.

Hmmmm....I've never heard of HomeLink getting hacked, but I guess anything can be hacked if you try hard enough. Our GLB came with the garage door opener and this is the first in-car opener that actually works with our garage doors. To make HomeLink work on our other garage door with our other car, I had to do a retrofit.
