Play external device (i.e. iPad) audio on car's sound system

Is there any way for GLB200 car audio system to play audio from external devices (i.e. iPad)?

This is because my toddler in the rear seat is watching Netflix videos on an iPad and would like to know whether it is possible for the car audio system to play the Netflix video's audio?

My previous car has an aux input and I just use a Bluetooth receiver with aux jack to pipe audio from the iPad into the car audio system. But I could not find a solution for GLB200 with NTG6 MBUX.

Would the solution be as easy as plugging in a "USB-C headset jack adapter type c to 3.5mm audio"?

Appreciate it in advance for any kind souls to advise.

Yes it is possible. After pairing your iPad with your car, go to the media option on MBUX and tap the bottom left options and make sure that the audio selection is chosen for the iPad. It should play whatever the iPad is playing afterwards.

If you want to use the USB-C connection, the only area that will play the iPad audio is the USB-C port in front of the cupholder.

Hi Andy,
Thanks for the wonderful tip. It is working as what you mention, pair ipad to MBUX on media option. Right now, Netflix or YouTube audio on the ipad is via the car sound system which is great.

Thank you once again

Would love an easy upgrade if there is one. Those Match up speakers only have 5mm max. Efficiency looks pretty good, but I can't image they have much more output than stock without adding an after market amplifier.

I just read through this entire thread and have learned a few things that were way out of my field. I take away one important lesson here…

My ears are substandard units and not compatible with high end anything.

🙉

All the same it’s very interesting to read these exchanges between people who know what they are talking about and a few who think they know (as much as I know which isn’t much).

I remember to this day listening to my first CD ever of Flim and the BBs. blew My MIND!

Still does actually.

I'm old enough to remember hearing a new technology for the first time -- stereo music from an LP record with different instruments separated on left and right speakers. (And watching the Beatles live on Ed Sullivan's show, of course on black & white TV.)

C350 W204 (older) NTG4.0
I'm trying to decide what type CarPlay / AA to add to my 2008 W204 NTG4.0 (older) system. Regarding audio quality, but factoring out direct MOST connection for cost, should I be looking for BT, AUX Audio, or AMI / MMI input to the system?
My car has the PCMCIA slot and an iPod 30 pin dock connector in the glovebox.
Thanks
