MB USA Store Website
I noticed a post on GLA forum that US MB Store was lunched today. Ability to purchase Navigation for $550 and some basic subscription renewals. Hopefully they will add more stuff.

Every GLB 250 that I've seen for sale that doesn't have the Multimedia option, shows code 270, Aerial for GPS listed in the vehicle packet on the dealer's website. Some dealers show the packet, some don't.
So, it looks like every GLB has the aerial, and a software or hardware update should make the factory nav possible even if not equipped from the factory.
I bought a GLB with the nav as I don't use Carplay. Took a while to find one equipped with it.

Not exactly what was asked, but may be useful.
GLBs were scarce when we bought ours last year. It was still on the delivery truck when we bought it. It didn’t quite have everything but the GLK had been totaled, so ordering was not an option. I asked the dealer about adding nav and sat radio. They said that nav was software only and could be ordered from the driver’s seat because everything needed was already in the car for OTA updates and GPS location. The sat radio was, however, a difficult and expensive add because both the radio and antennas needed to be added. We didn’t add either one.

The only difference I can see on 2020 and 2021 models with navigation from the factory was Augmented Reality. If you got the car that came with Navigation from the factory it was equipped with AR (code 549) and had a camera above the mirror. All other GLB's (Code 548 Connect 20 MID) would be able to purchase navigation package from the MB store that will be loaded to the car Over the Air, however controller is "Mid" model and does not support AR. I think some of the 2022 and 2023 models already do not let you select AR even with navigation option, since they come with "Mid" not "High" system.

I purchased Nav for my 2020 GLB from the online store in late June and can confirm it does not support AR, but that appears to be the only functionality missing. Unfortunately, the process to activate wasn't as easy and straightforward as I had hoped. It took a few calls to support and 5 days before MB was able to get it to activate, but once activated it has worked fine. There is some conflicting information on the website but when it finally activated it came with 3 yrs of traffic, car to x, and map updates as opposed to the 1 yr that's listed in some places on the website, or maybe that was MB compensating me for my difficulty

Correct - it was $550 plus tax. I'm really not sure if it was worth it because I'm usually fine using CarPlay, but I was about to leave on a 1500 mile road trip and decided to go for it.

Are you still happy with the nav after some use? I can't stand the integration of carplay in this car, so I'm considering buying the upgrade. Pretty disappointing that Mercedes didn't include NAV, my Hyundai Sonata N line came with excellent factory nav standard on a 35K car, along with the best lane centering high way drive assist I've used. Maybe if there was a hack to show carplay full screen, but without that I am really leaning towards the paid upgrade.

Yes - after having it for several weeks I would say I'm happy with it and it was worth the cost. There are some things that Waze or other apps do better, but there are also things that the MB nav does better in my opinion. I've only gone on a few shorter (150mi) trips since purchasing it and it's all I've used since then.

I'm not sure how often MB does a map update for their vehicles.
Since I have the Multimedia pkg, I think I have 3 years of free map updates, so once that period is up, I'll be paying.

My purchase came with 3 yrs of map updates also. I received a message in the app a few weeks ago that there is a map update pending for my vehicle, that they were done in batches, and would be downloaded sometime in the next 6 weeks. Last I checked it hadn't downloaded yet.

My GLB35 has the same 3 years of internet service and map updates. Per Mercedesmeconnection app, over the air updates shows that MB is updating the USA map every 6 months, but it only shows the update for NE states...
How often do you plan on doing the OTA map updates? Looks like it's $40 + tax. Pretty reasonable compared to some other manufacturers.

I never noticed any notification that it was completed. Hard to tell with the nav showing what was in the update.

Good Morning Vladimir, Enjoy reading your insightful posts, I ordered the Mud Flaps you recommended, will be installing them in the spring. On my '22 the DF8 Multimedia Package "Lite" included: PBF - Mercedes me essentials pkg, 01U - Navigation Services, 365 - MB Navigation, 502 - OTA nav map updates and lastly the 513 - Traffic sign Assist. When I first saw a YouTube about the MB DashCam I had hoped I would be able to buy that function, no camera though.

If someone knows how to get the factory satellite radio I would be interested in that. I know I'd have to by some type of hardware to install somewhere in the car but I think I'd be okay with that. Does anyone know where that module or antenna thing lives in the GLB?

From what I understand you can install Sirius XM radio on your smart phone, and use it through Android Auto or Apple Carplay in your car, without a need to install any additional hardware. It will use your cell data to stream, as long as you have Sirius XM subscription.
