Power Seats in 2022 GLB 250 4MATIC ?

Thank you for add in this forum, as a prospective owner of GLB 250 4Matic I want to know if anyone here have Power Driver and Passanger Seats in their GLB 250 4 MATIC ? I'm looking at couple of dealerships and all of them are saying that it is hard to find 2022 GLB 250 4Matic with Powerseat, This will be our first GLB

The are all supposed to have power seats but due to the chip shortage most of them don't have it. A power lift gate was another thing that was axed due to the chip shortage. They saved those chips for the AMG version. Some of them have a power liftgate but no power seats. I ended up buying a 2020 model over a 2022 due to this. Even custom ordered GLBs were being sent out with a credit and showed up with no power seats.... so yea.

The 2022 loaner I had while my 2021 GLB250 was in for service was loaded with everything except power/memory seats. I asked one of the sales persons and he said that they just weren’t available for the GLB right now. He said the GLC was getting the power/memory seats again and that would trickle down to the GLB maybe by mid 2023.

No way I would buy one without power seats. You also loose the seat memory function.

Very inconvenient if 2 people are driving the car. I would think the resale value would also be affected. Look for a 2020 or 2021 or continue your search for a 2022 with the feature.

Totally agree. It was a deal breaker for me as well.

I ordered a 2023 GLB with AMG night package trim and most other options. I got all except the factory removed the night package, ventilated seats and adj. suspension. It was built with power seats and liftgate so maybe they are getting in the chips needed.

I looked at the local dealer website (they post pictures of the cars on the lot) and non of the current model year GLB's have power seats, however some GLA's had power seats. Maybe there is hope that power seats are coming back.
I would agree that absence of Power Seats and Memory would be a deal breaker.

Interesting. The 2022 loaner I mentioned earlier lacked power/memory seats but it DID have ventilated seats. The only constant here is no power seats.

Chip shortage must be improving for MB. 10 out of 14 GLB's on the dealer website have power seats.

7 - 2022 and 3-2023. All 2023 models have brown wood trim as well.

This place is a joke.
The manual seat adjustments are absolutely awful on the GLB.

The loaner we had while having the windshield replaced had power seats. I didn't look but assume it was a 2023 because it only had a little over 100 miles on it. It also had the wood trim, and even though I like the wood in my C250, in my opinion, the wood really didn't seem to go very well with the style of the GLB interior.

Agreed. I have the macchiato with brown wood, and I am not sure what MB was thinking, as the mix of macchiato, black, piano black, brown wood and fake aluminum is too much.

Yes, our 2021 model does...and they are excellent as my wife is shorter than I am....makes life very easy
I note that the EQB does not have this option on any model.....big mistake

You need to find one with a build date prior to November 2021. When we picked ours in November, they told us any ones built after that would all come with manual seats due to the chip shortage.

I have the 2021 with power seats and memory, and they are terrible...or maybe I don't know how the functionality works. It's my wife's car but I drive it all the time. She's 5 feet tall and I'm 6 feet tall. So when you start the car, you can choose your profiles, in which we both supposively have our seat settings memorized to them. However, whenever I choose mine, it doesn't care...it pushes the seat forward and almost crushes me. I can't for the life of me make the profiles/memory seats work. So I have to adjust manually every time.

Could be just user error but it's definitely not intuitive.

I switch the car with my wife every months to keep the mileage low on our cars, thus use user profiles all the time.
Even if you change profiles, the seat position will not change unless you close the door and start the car. My second suggestion is to turn off Easy Exit/Entry function. For whatever reason it does opposite of what it should (moves you forward when you stop the car instead of backwards). I had the dealer update the software once to fix it, however it reverted back after a while, must have been an Over the Air Update. So I just turned it off.
Even tough seat memory is tied to individual profile, profile remembers last seating position. It is a good practice to save your seat position to the memory, for that reason. If you bring your car to the dealer and forget to change your profile to Guest, the technician will mess with your profile seat position, and the only way to revert it, is through seat memory.
Hope this helps.

Well, we have had Benzes for decades and the seat memory seems to work differently in every one of them. The seats that recognized the key were particularly aggravating for people who didn't use the same key all the time. It's kind of like the Benz engineers pick some item to over design to the point of disfunction. The intricate and failure prone cup holders in the older ones were a point of aggravation.

But since we've decided to stick with them for other reasons we have gotten used to some simple work arounds. It has sort of gone with being a Benz owner.

Like Vlad, we have the Easy Entry feature turned off. We don't bother with the seating settings in the profile.

The following has worked on every Benz we have had since the 90s:
Store you seating position in the memory on the door with the buttons, e.g., 1 for your wife, 2 for you. Then when you open the door, press the seat memory selection for you before getting in and the seat moves into position for you. Nothing else moves when you get in and start the engine.

Viola! Welcome to Mercedes Benz!

P.S. Seat memory on your and your wife profiles are not the same. That could be contributing to inconsistent seat memory positions. Let's say your wife opens her profile and saves her position to 1 and yours to 2, then you select your profile and save your position to 1 and your wife's to 2. Next time you sit in the car without switching profile from our wife's, and push memory position 1 - Nothing Happens.

Thanks for all the feedback, very helpful! This profile / easy entry stuff is too much. I've turned it all off and just going to use the memory seat buttons which work fine. Going to just also use one profile for my wife. Assume it's for radio stations, lighting, so all good.
