New to the world of things Mercedes, I am curious why 4 months after this incorrect model id was noted here no revision has been made in the forum directory. Is X205 in fact correct (although the MB North Am order guides use X253), or is the number basically unimportant (but perhaps confusing to newcomers), or have the responsible admin types not looked at this? Just asking....

Let me echo the same sentiments. I have much more experience from the Volvo USA forum (http://forums.swedespeed.com/) and for whatever reason the community and admin is ten times more on top of things there. I love MBs and I'm waiting for my newly ordered GLC, but this forum is just a huge disappointment.

Perhaps we newbies noticing this glitch will prompt a correction; thanks for your endorsement. That said, I am still some months away from getting my GLC order in (the Saab trolls on!) but I am using this period to learn by monitoring the forum and, now, asking questions relevant to my situation. I don't find the forum a disappointment at all but an asset which, I am sure, will grow richer as more GLE owners join in...assuming they find us. Of course, Volvo drivers have always had high expectations.

I haven't found the forum to be a disappointment either. I do wish there were more people on the GLC forum, but given no one in the US has a car yet, and now they are being delayed until December in the US, there's not much to talk about.

If you were to compare how active the Volvo forum was before the launch of the new XC90, you would know what I'm talking about. Different worlds.

I'm thinking Mercedes SUV buyers don't hang out on forums much. The C Class forum here is beyond active. The SUV forums, not so much. I would expect this GLC forum to pick up speed when the cars start being delivered to owners.

I've been on quite a few forums during my long car search, several of which were before the vehicle was available. This is by far the deadest one, for whatever it's worth.

I sent a message to the admins as AZN Optics suggested. We'll see what happens to the forum's ID and to the activity level once cars are being delivered. I'm optimistic on both fronts.
