I love the look of the new door seat adjustments, esp. when paired with the beautiful burmester speaker covers.

Well, I'm a bit spoiled with the very smooth V6 in our GLK and IS350 I suppose. The new engine felt better matched to the lighter C300 I drove last month. There's plenty of power for a daily driving tasks, but it seemed awfully noisy to me. Transmission was pretty smooth, but this particular GLC had a very abrupt shift into 4th gear (sport+ mode). Auto start-stop worked well, adequate power in all modes other than Eco, which btw is terrible compared to those offered by other brands. You need almost 70% throttle just to maintain highway speeds and from a stand-still is borderline dangerous IMO. Comfort mode is perfect though.

I'm pretty sure I could write a full page review on my initial reactions, but I dont want to bore anyone! We're gonna go back next week for a second opinion too. Our local dealer has been fantastic thus far and I've been really impressed with the level of customer service we have received from the MB staff
Hello guys. I have a 2013 GLK diesel. That was a nice touch parking the 2012 GLK next to the new GLC for comparison. I like the extra size of the new model and all the safety features. As for engine power, i love my diesel and it has plenty enough power for my foot. And i leave mine in ECO mode all the time.
I would like to know from someone who currently owns one of these GLCs, what kind of highway mileage are they getting after a few months of ownership? It's not hard for me to tally up 36-40 mpg from start mode.
I really like my dash gauges. I don't like the new digital gas gauge on the GLC. For some reason that type of gauge does not seem accurate and depletes quicker than a dial gauge. I had other vehicles with a similar gauge and I am not a fan.

Driven mine heavily for a week due to having a vacation out in the countryside. 40mph average around the roads - averaged pretty much 40mpg which I am very happily impressed with. On a long run it could get to 45mpg. That's in eco and also strongly using Distronic.

I too don't really like the digital fuel gauge - I just look at the dash for how many mile I have left and do it that way.

Hi PressureDrop,
Re running boards (though I gotta pop them on still).
If you were in Oz, I would offer to buy your old side skirt, covers, after you fit you running boards.
Ours we have found get in the way. Not sure what delivery is from USA to Oz ! 😎
Enjoy your GLC, it's a great drive.

Hi everyone,

I'm in love with the GLC 300, and all of your pics! Keep them coming!

I was loving the GLA but when I saw the GLC I really fell in love haha. I'm gonna hit the dealer next week to maybe place an order for 2017 Diamond silver, night package, black mb with the black ash wood and premium 2 package. Does the black ash extend to the doors, or is the configurator glitching out?

Can you order the brown leather with the night package? Online won't let you.

This would be my first MB, any tips for dealing with Mercedes dealers in general when buying/ordering and possibly trading in my current Suv?

The black ash wood that I've seen in the '16 models had it on the door. That could have changed for '17.

Whatever you get on the console should also be on the doors. I opted for burl on my MY17; it's also on the doors.

Just wait for the GLC43. I love driving the SO's GLC300 except for the lack of power.

I had the same question. However, I visited my local dealer on Sept 3rd and the 2017 GLCs that were equipped with the black ash trim also had it on the doors.

There's nothing in the latest DOG saying you can't.

The US configurator clearly isn't finished. This isn't the first time MBUSA has left it like this. You can't configure Light Brown Linden Wood trim. (An option mentioned in the DOG.) Also, you can't add Heated and Ventilated front seats when you have the P3 package selected. A dialog displays saying "To add that feature, we must remove Premium 3 Package ($7,200) or add the following:" then displays a blank list! LOL

Just ordered a GLC 300 with Brown Ash Wood Trim (Open-Pore), but seller called today and said that both Brown and Dark Open-Pore trim are restricted and cannot be ordered for now. Does someone know what happened?

Sorry mb4, no photos here because the M-B mud flaps were not compatible with my 16 model year GLC as it came with AMG style lower body panels.

As my GLC was undergoing pdi I asked my sales person to make arrangements to have M-B mud flaps installed. Next day the parts manager called to inform me the mud flaps listed in the illustrated parts breakdown would not fit my vehicle because of the reason stated above. Disappointing to say the least.

Your post served as a reminder and since its been seven months I intend to make another attempt. Hoping M-B now has a compatible flap.

Thanks for the info guys.

I went to see if they had an iridium silver with night pack, sunroof and premium 2 w/ black interior and black ash...they only could find a diamond white with those options....i couldn't decide since I really wanted silver, so I didn't do the deal the other night.

A custom order in silver the order would come in in jan/feb...too long to wait I feel.

The diamond white is kinda growing on me though! Any opinions..haha?

I ordered mup flaps from China. Good quality, front fit with side step profile, but rears do not, I have AMG ends as well.
I'll search again for flaps that have AMG rear profile.
Some sellers specify steps or not. Not seen any options for AMG profile yet.

Thanks Techno.

I'm in the US with a non-AMG and no side step. Hoping someone has added the mud flaps on a similar vehicle.

We ordered Lunar Blue, but my local dealer now has a couple in Brilliant Blue in stock. It's a great color--not too bright, but very eye-catching. It will be the wife's car, so she got to choose, but I might have gone with Brilliant Blue.

So, two months into owning a GLC and I can honestly say it's the best car I have owned. Loving it, loads of people looking at the car. In fact, I took the lad to football practice the other day and had to do some work so I sat in the back of the car. A couple of parents then walked past the car, stopped and started discussing the lines and how the car looked so good. Was great to hear then one of them looked in through the windscreen and said to his mate "Um, and there's someone in the back seat"

LOL...

I love that picture, it looks extremely peaceful (and the GLC looks pretty nice also)

So, is the lad allowed back in after football practice?

It was a vacation photo a week after I got the car so that's why it's so shiny

Footy practice is still on !

Stopped by the M-B Dealer Parts Department to inquire if mud flaps were yet available for the GLCs with AMG lower body panels. Sadly the answer was no.

C43 GLC
Was about to go with the F-Pace...then discovered the C43 AMG ordered Monday - collected Thursday due to a cancelled order that was perfect for me (21" alloys, blue + running boards) + 4% discount via carwow

Nice one! I've got the same wheels on order on my GLC43, but in black and with no running boards. Looks very good!

Out of interest what tyres do they put on the 21" wheels in the UK. I nearly didn't get them as getting replacement tyres for our GL is a right pain. Only continental do 295/40r21. I wonder what exact size is on the GLC?

That looks great.
I've stuck with the 19s for comfort on my order but I have to say those 21s look fantastic.
