I bought it from a Los Angeles, CA dealer. It has metallic paint, driver assistance package, parktronic, heads up, heated seats, premium package and tech package .... pretty much what I wanted. Even within California I have seen big differences in discounts so I suggest to shop around a bit!

My wife told me her brother just got a used GLC 300 4matic fully loaded, with 19,000 miles on it for $29K. Is that possible?? I kept telling her, no way, must be a GLA. Even if it is a moderately optioned GLC 4matic. It will be around $50k. let's say people are getting 12% discount for a new car. Then used, another 13% off. We are still looking high $30k.

Then I searched on Autotrader.com. I see GLC with only a few thousand miles are only selling for $37 to $39k. Maybe it is possible to get it below $30k.

If you want a great price and no hassle buying experience call Jim Ononui at House of Imports in Buena Park Calif. Let him know you are a forum member and you won't be disappointed. I ordered a new GLC over the internet and just picked it up Monday 6-6. They usually have 20 plus GLC's in stock and sell a lot of vehicles. I have purchased over 35 new cars in my life and this was the best experience I have ever had.

Just negotiated a GLC with blind spot assist, lighting package, and multi media, pano sunroof in polar white. MSRP at $45,735 (including delivery of $925), picked it up at 12% off MSRP plus free all weather floormat.

Looks like 2017 models are going to arrive at this showroom in the very near future, I think deeper discount, better than mine can be had just about now. I think they have about 13 GLCs in stock. I am in LA area.

I've ordered a GLC from Atlanta Classic Cars in Atlanta. Can you tell me the dealer you bought from?

If I calculate the over all discount including MB fleet discount, it totals to 12.11%. I live in Atlanta suburbs.

Just got our 2016 GLC300 this past Friday. White with Silk Beige interior, base RWD with premium package, heated front seats, and blind spot monitoring. After the usual back and forth with a few dealers we got it for about 12% off MSRP. Drive-out price was $39,700.

I think that's about as good a deal as can be found right now, from what I've seen.

As an aside, it would be helpful if everyone would list their geographic area in their profile, as deals vary so much from area to area (and country to country)! Context really means a lot when comparing deals. I'm in Southern California, which is arguably the most competitive market considering how many dealers there are. The percentage off I can negotiate won't mean much to someone in a smaller rural area.

We are in Houston, also a very competitive market.

We spoke with about half a dozen dealers, and ultimately bought from Greenway.

With the 2017s right around the corner, we expected, and indeed demanded, a good discount.

UH, not just "smaller rural." Try Metro Detroit. Tight as any.

Hi...my wife and I just drove and decided to purchase a GLC. We are located in Eugene OR with one local dealer but have no difficulty in travelling up to Seattle if necessary. Can anyone with purchasing experience in the Northwest provide a reasonable discount off of MSRP that they were able to achieve? Thanks
Pat

I think I'll give him a call. Does Jim also offer good deals for cars you want custom ordered as opposed to picking up off the lot?

Hi, just made my first new car lease, coming from a 2006 beat-up Civic:

2017, GLC-300, 4-matic, Lunar Blue Metallic, Premium-2, Sport, Burmester, P-Sunroof, and a few other upgrades.

MSRP 52,445
Sale Price 46,793 (10% off MSRP, plus $500 fleet discount)
Money factor 0.0014 (discounted from base MF using auto-pay)

Purchase made in the Boston area and after emailing and searching every dealership in the area this was the best deal. Every dealership at some point tried to pressure or confuse during the negotiation but I had a smooth experience with an Internet Sales specialist which lead me to the dealership to make a deal.

I am pumped!!!

It's nice to see hefty discounts on such a hot model. Especially on a new model year when all the dealers are trying to clear their inventory. Gives me some hope when I go two hours away to search for a deal since I only have one Mercedes dealer near me.

Have you tried searching the dealership's website and requesting a quote? After getting the run-around at a dealership, I decided to request electronic quotes from all the Boston area dealerships and included a message saying I would buy from the dealership that gave me the best price. The first response I received ended up being the best offer and I bought the car the next day.

I did when I ordered it the first time and they wouldn't budge. They used the "this is a very hot model" excuse. They'd honor a $1k fleet discount but that's it. So I decided to cancel it and wait for the my17's to come and I'll order it from another dealer

That stinks. How far do you have to go to find another dealership?

That's a solid number of dealers, I'm hopeful you'll find a better deal there

I have more faith there (in Phoenix) than I do here in Tucson. In Phoenix, they have to compete. In tucson they're the only dealer so they can sell whatever they want at whatever price.

Well good luck! I ended up emailing the same number of dealerships in Boston.

Who knows if this made a difference, but in my message for the e-quote I explained that I was buying a GLC within the next few days, emailing price quote requests to all Boston area dealers, and buying from the dealer with the best price.

It seemed to get the attention of every dealership. They would then call (ignored), then email offering a test drive and special meeting. I responded via email saying I had already test driven the car, knew exactly what I wanted, and requested again for their best price in order to make a purchasing decision.

I only used email to communicate before picking the best price and I also nailed down the MF. Maybe you can do this from Tuscon and get the negotiating out of the way before making the trip.

If you'd like to discuss this in more detail I'd be happy to

You did it the right way, Johara. I live in a small market where there is only one MB dealer for over 100 miles. They don't deal because they are the only game in town. I then decided to contact several dealers in the "big city" through their internet manager. I told them what I wanted via email. One came back and said there was no car like that anywhere to be found but there was one that was very, very close coming off the assembly line any day. It was a dealer ordered car in the Boston area. The internet manager further said he had contacted the dealer in Boston and offered to trade invoices with them and they agreed. The car for Boston would instead come here to Texas for me and the one ordered by my dealer would go to Boston for the swap. I told him what I would pay (9% off list) and with just a little back and forth it was agreed.

I told him I would put no money down and gave him my word that if the car was as offered I would buy it. Two weeks later he called and said the car was in. I drove 140 miles to pick it up the next day and that was the first time I ever saw the car, the dealership or the internet salesman. It was the first and also the last time I saw them since I get the service done at the local MB dealer - they may not deal but they have a great service department.

It has been over four years now and I could not be more pleased with my ML350 (although I am ready for an E class!). I don't know if I could have worked a better deal going back and forth to the city in person and pitting one dealer against another, maybe and maybe not. But doing all my work from the comfort of my office chair, getting the car I wanted for the price I wanted and not spending travel time was to me worth a whole lot. These days there is no reason to shop in person once you have test driven and decided on what you want.
