No, I really wanted 4matic but given all the variables couldn't do it.
Got a Base + Blind spot assist, Panorama sunroof, 19" wheels, heated front seats, wheel locking bolts, roof spoiler, and P01 (the only option the wife cared about was keyless-go). Finding the car with the color combination and keyless-go and getting it in a week was hard.

It's hard to find AWD in LA. They have em but usually will put all the options on the car with a price tag over 50k.

That $600 from MBFS is an incentive you can use because you are returning an old lease and getting a new lease/purchase?

Correct. Returned a lease about a month before the new purchase. Had to pay a return fee of $600 (more like $590 something). But if you lease, purchase new or certified pre-own within 60 days (I think) they give the $600 back.

Oh okay I get it.. They are pretty much waiving the return fee.. But I guess since you returned the car early and didn't get a new one at the same time you had to pay.. But normally when I return they just waive the fee on the spot since I get a new one the same day. I thought maybe it was another new incentive

Calstar in Glendale was my purchase dealer. I looked around for a dealer that had the color combo I wanted. At 42k range. Glendale said they had one coming at 44k (MSRP).

Encino didn't have a good selection of cars and it didn't look like they were going to get em anytime soon.

Van Nuys (Keys) had the biggest selection but sales didn't seem very interested in talking. I made it very clear I'm going to buy a car but they wouldn't play ball. Their sales guy actually called back and said if you find the color combination you're looking for somewhere else just buy it cause we won't have it for a long time. This after I gave him two vin numbers from their website that I'm interested in.

Valencia was the best as far as doing the research and telling me what cars are available in what dealer. I really waned tow hitch and they found one in Portland. But color combo wasn't right.

Can any dealer in the DC area do a 10% off for GLC?

About to switch the wife from a Q5 into a GLC here in Tampa. Came on these forums last week to get a better idea of what others were paying around the US. I honestly thought all of this talk about 5-10% discounts off MSRP were crazy. Found a vehicle that we really liked and asked for the best price. Was quoted exactly 10% off MSRP. Will end up with a GLC with premium package, sunroof, running boards (which we really don't need), heated seats and a few other options. Sticker was $44,035 and got it for $39,600. I will say that this particular dealer currently has 26 GLCs in their inventory and there are about 7 other MB dealerships within about an hours drive from us.

It seems like people need to take this info with them into dealers and say MANY people are getting 10% off and at the very least do not settle for anything less then 8% on a car, especially if it's on the lot. I do understand that different dealerships, GMs, owners don't always allow those kind of discounts for ordered cars.. But sometimes when they realize you have done business with them in the past, and you tell them others are getting 10% off.. The first thing they say is "well that's just salesmen talk, when the actual car comes things will change etc etc".... But the best thing to do is say well I already KNOW a few people who's got their car for that price with those dealers so it's not just talk.. But for convenience I rather stay with this dealer and giving you the chance to keep my business... More so if you lease cars, because they look at you as new money in their pockets every 2-3 years if you show loyalty towards the brand and dealer.

Using Edmunds True Market Value as a rough guide on a base GLC: In Tampa, TMV is a 5.8% discount and in Seattle it's a 3.6% discount and, as rtjr said above, there's GLC inventory all over Tampa whereas there are 2 or 3 in Seattle and the largest dealer doesn't even have a demo. My dealer has agreed to the CR TrueCar Estimate which is 5.6% discount and there they've drawn the line. Still hoping for some free mats or something.

I recently did an inquiry through Edmunds and got anywhere from $4-$3500 off MSRP here in the LA area. I really think it depends, but 10% off MSRP is a really good deal- has to be well below invoice. Not a ton of inventory our here with the options we want, and in Orange County (45 miles south) I saw internet price quotes above MSRP.

I'm negotiating with one dealer, but he mentioned he'll sell me one at invoice (he has to transfer the car in). It has about $2500 in options I wouldn't order myself, so if he can sweeten the deal a bit, I may bite.

I will add that the GLC inventory at the Tampa dealership where we just purchased ours jumped from 26 to 35 since Monday. Anyone have any speculation as to why their inventory on these vehicles would be so high?
