SD Card & USB ports location

Does anyone have images of the location of the SD card slot and/or available USB slots on the GLC300? There aren't any images of either in the manual and it does not even say where the SD slot is located (says the USB is in the stowage compartment).

I bet it in the center console under the armrests. That is where the USB is on my C Class

The SD slot and the two usb's are located at the front of the centre console. There is also a handy shelf above the ports.

Here is a picture of the ports.

The shelf is the perfect size for a IPod classic

Awesome, thank you. I'm loading all my music onto an SD card but would use the USB for charging my phone if there is a good place to route the cable out of there.

Remember also that the entertainment package includes a 80GB hard drive built-in. (I think it is 80GB). I've downloaded my music library onto the HD.

It's primarily for NAV maps but I guess there's a fair amount of free space.

A gaggle of MB's
1) USB port at best provides trickle charge - not fast charge for newer/current-demaning cell phones + tablets

2) Frack the internal hard drive - burning cd's to a USB so much quicker and higher capacity - or export full iTunes collection to USB - so much more covnenient !

Keep the beat !

1) that's kind of disappointing. I guess I'll have to break out the 12v USB plug.
2) I was kinda thinking that myself. Drop in the SD card and forget it. Easy to pop out for updates.

For those wanting to put music with playlists on an SD card or USB, this was a great guide (although I have yet to test it):

If one has the Premium option you get in addition to everything else a 115 volt outlet at the back of the center console.

I loaded my library of .mp3 audio files and a few movie files .mp4 onto an SD card. From the media player screen chose Options and chose Save Files to Media storage. Very convenient, 80GB holds a lot of stuff, very cool.

I have tested up to 128GB SD card, formatted with NTFS, and the car reads it flawlessly. Super convenient for adding more/new music, and having it all at your fingertips in the car whenever you want.

So, ours is a USA 2016 GLC300 with the entertainment package. Here is a video on how to load music and video files to the built-in HDD.

Wow, I didn't know you could watch movies on there. I wonder what formats it reads?

Also, can you tell how much free space is on the hard drive? I have about 16GB of music...I wouldn't want to use up the space the Nav may use for updates, etc.

Our specs: 80GB HDD, movie format: .mp4 (that's the only format I have tried). Most of my videos are 1280x720.

80GB is the overall size but how much was being used before you loaded the files?

I don't know if there is a reading for the space available.

Mine does not have sd card slot, only two USB ports. Is it upgradeable to navi and if so, 1. approximate cost, 2. can I do it myself, 3. if I do it myself would it void factory warranty? Mine is 2016 GLC 300. Did not come with navi system.

If you do not have Nav Pre-Wiring - which includes SD Card - then you cannot upgrade to add Garmin Nav
