Brake petal off set

Hi guys,

Brand new to Mercedes ownership, picked up my GLC two weeks ago. I love the styling and the ride, far superior to any non-luxury brand I have owned.

My only complaint (it's a big one) is that the brake petal seems to be offset to the left and much higher than the gas. It seems silly but my leg hurts everytime I leave the car on account of the effort it takes to move my entire foot back and forth constantly. Has anyone else had this issue? Maybe I'm overly sensitive, but I am a shorter driver (though in good shape!) and I have constant leg pain when I drive this thing.

It's gotten to the point where I almost want to take to back to the dealer and take a major hit on it to get something that doesn't cause so much pain during daily driving!

Yikes...I didn't notice anything like that when I test drove it but i wasn't in stop and go traffic and it wasn't a lengthy drive. Where are you located (i.e. US, Europe, etc)...might make a difference on how the car is built.

Located in New England.

I know, I test drove it at least 3 times and all the major competitor (x3, q5, NX, RDX). I never noticed the issue until now. Maybe it's just me but I never had this problem in my other cars (even those with manual transmissions!). It's got me thinking a I'm crazy!

I have had multiple Mercedes. I have no issues with my GLC. Very comfortable to drive. I am 6'3" and my wife is 5'1. We both are comfortable.

Many Mercedes here, too. 6-2 for me, 5-0 wife, and easy to find comfortable driving position for both of us. I don't understand the brake pedal offset comment.

The brake petal is to the left of driver center, and set much higher than the gas petal, requiring extra movement to switch from one to the other.

What I'm taking from this thread is that besides the OP, you guys are tall and your wives are short! I'm 6'2" but my wife is 5'9" or 5'10" (it's probably bad that I don't know exactly).
