There are a few other threads on the subject...not many choices.

There's this I was able to google - http://www.cravenspeed.com/mercedes-...e-plate-mount/
Can't vouch for how well it does/doesn't work

^^^ There are 2 versions for the GLC...one is for the sport bumper. The US cars come with the off-road front design - do they really have sport bumper? I'm nto sure the sport package changes the front all that much

After a LOT of research, I have decided to order the Skene bracket for my new GLE. (Google Skene license plate bracket)
(I tried to insert the URL but it will not allow it in.)
There is 1 1/2 inches of depth for the brackets. They will sit in an under position -with the license plate hanging down in what they call the TOP position. (See their gallery website photos)
The position is just above the lowest grill.
I used 3M 5952 very high bond tape after using an adhesion bond improver. This is because it is plastic and not metal for best adhesion.
I also found the 3M tape in a 4 by 8 inch piece on amazon as well as the bond improver.
According to my research, this will hold like nobody's business. AND IT DOES!!!! I can also still add a screw if I want-through the bracket.
I thought I would share with the GLE owners my solution for the pesky front license plate bracket problem. I did all of the above it has worked better than I could have hoped. It is NOT coming off.
Write if you need further details.

Any new options out there these days? No fun getting a ticket here in Texas and I do NOT want to drill holes.
Has anyone tried this one? http://www.ebay.com/itm/For-16-Up-Me...-/291850863101
Any input is appreciated.

Hi ArcticWhiteZ51
Ok...- so now that I have lived with my Skene bracket for 8 months here is what I learned.
the Skene bracket is excellent in all respects. Good fit, good workmanship and very easy to adjust. The 3M 3952 tape became soft and unglued itself after a few months.
So I was forced to put a screw up through the bracket to hold it in place. It is pre-drilled for this.
The screw is not seen and in a position where you never know it is there. If you remove the bracket in the future, you will never know it was there unless you get down underneath the car on your back and look up. After the insertion of the screw it has been rock solid for the last 15,000 miles. No rattling, no vibration, no nothing.
So, I give it a thumbs up.

P.S. if you need them in Texas how did you not get the mount installed??? here they come with the mount already, no option to not get one.

I'm in CA too and my dealer didn't put it on nor did I want to drill holes. I just used the plastic license plate frame holder you get from dealer and clipped right below where license plate frame would be if you drilled the holes in bumper. I drilled holes in plastic frame holder and used nylon rope to secure it and it looks good to me, better than as if it was drilled. I've had it like that for 4 months now and no issues.

This is something I am currently researching. I was lucky that my sales rep actually called me to ask if It was ok for them to drill the holes on the front. I emphatically said no.

This Works - No Holes
Check these out. Use one on my GT350 and have had no issues at all. When I bought the Benz, I thought Id try it and it fits perfectly. Uses an adhesive. My pony car people uses these. i've did several 100mph+ pulls without any issues. Just make sure you follow directions carefully. Very easy install.

Came across the Grimspeed License Plate Relocation kit. Basically they give you a bolt that goes into the front tow hook port and it gives a nice clean - off to the side - look. And could be easily unscrewed and removed when you dont want to have it. https://www.grimmspeed.com/license-p...genesis-coupe/
They dont have Benz listed - but im sure with some research on thread type/pitch and depth required - one of the other makes is a match.
HOWEVER - I decided not to do it - because the tow hook port is close to one of the front proximity sensors and my thought is it will obstruct it and cause the sensor to go off. But its a potential option.
Here's what my Genesis looked like with it installed:
