TREGESAR, Something sounds wrong. I have burl walnut on my order - no issue. Vehicle was built on June 23 shipped and arrived in US yesterday . I will pick it up in a week or so....

Curious how people are handling pricing at this stage with their dealer when MB has not finalized pricing yet.
Dealer 1 (my dealer) told me final pricing will be available end of July and we can talk $$$ then. I think he is trying to get me emotionally vested by then so I would not negotiate much.
Dealer 2 told me that we can finalize a certain % off or a fixed amount off the MSRP at this point and order the car.
I think Dealer 2 is making more sense. The pricing on the DOG that I posted yesterday should be the final pricing. I think the only possible difference would be if they go and realign the packages again.

communication with my salesman. Order is on hold because they ran out
of burl wood, otherwise if would have been placed this week.
Because I was so turned off(pissed and ready to ask for my money back
pissed) by the dealership experience to date, he told
me he would honor the prices listed in the latest DOG no matter what
adjustments are made by the factory to my build.
Given that they are going to make $2600 on my order(he told me), he
has the room to absorb any increases.
Still can't believe I signed up to pay FULL RETAIL for a car......

The prices in the DOG from 6/30 will not change. Hows does a company publish preliminary pricing on a DOG very well knowing that the DOG will be passed to customers and then decide to change pricing ? Never going to happen. Only rare possibility is that they might change package structure but that is most probably not going to happen, imo.

Being the only dealership in 125 mile radius definitely results in monopoly. I have 12 in 150 mile radius with 5 in my city.

The pricing and option package structure has changed a lot from one 2017 version to the next. The final version, when it is released, will have changes from the 6/30/2016 version.

The DOG is clearly for internal use only and is not supposed to be released to the public. The fact that it does make it out doesn't change that fact.

I actually wonder if jjt's car is a 2017, since they were supposed to be delivered starting in August. Obviously, the window sticker from the factory will have options, packages, and pricing on it.
But, one dealer told me he thought he had some on a ship coming over. All very mysterious stuff

Indeed. I have been chasing trying to order a 2017 for three weeks now and it is definitely frustrating not to be able to do so.

I'm sure a Rosewood, Oak, Koa, Hickory, or Mahogany could have been an acceptable sub but are not on the list.

I'd like a rosewood too.... Or maybe a poplar or Birdseye maple.

My GLC is at the docks in Baltimore waiting for the 2017's to be released by MB.
We agreed to a price based off of what the invoice price will be (so I don't know the exact price price yet).

What dealer are you using?
Can you share the terms of your deal?
Has anyone told you WHEN MB will be releasing them?
And how long did the shipping process take (crossing the ocean, unloading, vehicle processing. . . .)?
Thanks!
