Yes, and I am currently trying to cancel mine. Was told I had to contact the original dealership that sold me the warranty. He is located in another state and will not return my calls.

Hi folks,
look like you guy all got a really good price except me, my extended warranty is 3000 and maintenance is 1500. I am wondering can I cancel them and buy it again from a different dealership?

You are paying too much. $2500 is the MSRP. I got mine for $1700 and there are several dealers selling it at that price. Ask your dealer to price match. That's what my dealer did. And to your question, yes it is fully refundable within original warranty period of 4 years.
The way I read it is they only price-matched maintenance. If I'm accurate, why not also the extended warranty? (And since I'm in Mpls, what dealership?)

Pre-paid maintenance may not be a good value
My opinion is the Pre-Paid Maintenance for the GLC300 doesn’t offer a value as the cost of the service intervals for the first 4 years seems lower than the $1275 pre-paid maintenance price. I have a 2017 being delivered this month and have gone back and forth on this. When I looked up the specific maintenance schedule online for the 2016 GLC300 (2017 isn't available online yet) it lists "additional" items that I assume wouldn't be covered by the prepaid maintenance as it states "subject to a separate invoice". Additionally, the expensive transmission flush isn't even scheduled until after the pre-paid maintenance expires and recommended at 6yr/60k miles. I've concluded most service advisors are unaware of this based on my calls to a few dealerships. Listed below are the "additional maintenance work" items from the 2016 GLC300 maintenance book and that are "subject to a separate invoice":
Replace brake fluid 2yr/20k mi & 4yr/40k mi
Panorama Roof clean/lubricate at 3yr/30k mi
Replace air filter 5yr/50k mi
Replace spark plugs 5yr/50k mi
Maintenance book says transmission flush at 6yr/60k mi
Transfer case oil change 6yr/60k mi
Fuel filter 12yr/120k mi
Replace coolant 12yr/120k mi
Replace brake fluid 2yr/20k mi & 4yr/40k mi
Panorama Roof clean/lubricate at 3yr/30k mi
Replace air filter 5yr/50k mi
Replace spark plugs 5yr/50k mi

You are right that the additonal items will not be covered by the prepaid. However, the best way to look at whether or not you should buy the prepaid is by checking how much your local dealer(s) chargs for an A and B. Mine told me $330 and $450. Hence, 2 As and 2 Bs would add up to more than $1275. As I understand, the cost for the A and B can vary based on region.

when you look at a maintenance sheet, anything under REQUIRED is covered under PPMS. Anything under RECOMMENDED is not. Brake flushes, cabin filters, air filters, spark plugs, etc, are all required services. PPMS will always cost less than paying out of pocket. All of the newer prepaid services include wipers as well.

I have prepaid on both my benzes. It covers all required items. I even get wiper blades. Brake fluid was changed on my 14 c class. No cost.

Pre-paid maintenance
I'm not convinced that pre-paid maintenance is always less expensive than paying for each service out of pocket. However with respect to ec nova, in some instances it will be less expensive and in others it will not be. I agree with My 1st MB that maintenance costs vary by region and even within an area. I want to reemphasize that one should look at the specific maintenance manual for the GLC300 and as My 1st MB suggests, you should speak to your local dealership to compare the A-B-A-B costs specifically for the GLC300. The GLC300 maintenance manual clearly states that certain items are considered "additional maintenance work" and are "subject to a separate invoice" as noted on my previous post. The GLC300 maintenance manual also states that the replacement of air filters, spark plugs and the transmission flush are required after the 4year/40k mile pre-paid maintenance is expired.

$1250 for prepaid maintenance is definitely the way to go. It's cheaper in the long run. We even got the tire/rim coverage.so worth it. Scratched the back rim and they had to send it for repair, it was repaired flawless. without the extended /extra coverage it would have cost me a lot more. I never got extended coverage for my honda and toyota but for Mercedes or any other luxury brands is a must, in my opinion.

Extended Warranty has a different logic than Prepaid Maintenance.
In terms of Extended Warranty, look at it this way - the newer cars are bunch of computers hooked up to a bigger computer. We bought a Subaru last year and the sales guy told me nothing should go wrong but if something does go wrong, it will be related to electronic due to the sensors etc. So warranty is important. Bet the GLC has more electronics than a Subaru

Yes, for that reason, we purchased the prepaid maintenance and the extended warranty=$4k apprx, as far as I can remember.
i don't know what car has more electronics but I just know that based on KBB Subaru is No1 in reliability and resale value. I've never owned one (my wife no like it My neighbor has one and it has a sick growl

Why not work the prepaid maintenance as a deal breaker when purchasing the car? Dealers are hungry to sell cars and will throw it in if it gets you to buy. It costs the dealer so little to offer it. As far as extended warranties go, there is nothing like the factory warranty. Why not keep the car for 4 years and then get a new one? Life is too short to have an old car. The worst time to own a car is when things start breaking down. This happens as the car gets older.

recommendation? I have never heard of replacing brake fluid as part of
a maintenance schedule. With todays chemically designed fluids, why
would you need to replace it????

No idea if it's in there, but usually it's due to the potential of water in the fluid.

brake fluid is hydroscopic. MB has always recommended every 2/20k. The manufacturers that DON'T recommend it are doing so only to reduce cost of maintenance, at the expense of braking performance/reliability.

I'm now giving it to my daughter, who should be able to get an additional 3-5 years out of a reliable, safe car.
Life is too short to throw money away. Getting rid of a car because the factory warranty is up doesn't make economic sense to me. Time will tell, but if my pampered, well-maintained GLC doesn't last more than four years, I won't be buying another Mercedes. I'm betting it will last much longer than that.

I have a 14 c class and a 16 GLC. I have prepaid maintenance on both. Just had b service on my c class. It included the additional items. I did not pay separately for them. They also replaced my wiper blades at no cost. Brake fluid was replaced.

Did they charge you extra for the brake fluid replacement?
