Rear Window Leak

Every time I go through a local self serve car wash I would get a small water leak on the inside of the rear hatch window..
Told the SA that it was just a small leak and could he take care of it on our next service.
The leak got a little more annoying and called SA to make an appointmet for the leak. He said thay had to look into it and would get back to me.. That never happened. Stopped by dealership (Only 2 miles from home). Askd him again..... Shop Forman came out and said our GLC has been through their car was and has never leaked. We had a little heated discussion about Big Blowers in the self-service wash and that they are too strong.
Bottom line.. Dealer took the car in to inspect the area around the window and called me back saying that there was some sort of recall on the CLC for the rear window leaking..
Anyone else have this problem...Knowing that most members wash their own steed.

My GLC has been through the car wash probably half a dozen times...no leak anywhere.

First post I've seen addressing this squawk.

I've just had paint treated so no more auto car washes for me, or the local one with 15 chaps running around washing them like clockwork.
I've purchased a foam attachment for my Kartcher and a mini blower to air dry, think it goes to 270kph ? Of wind !
So it will be interesting to see if any water ingress from hand blower.
Thanks for the info.

there is no "recall" about the rear window on a GLC. there IS, however, a bulletin about the tailgate brake lamps cracking allowing water to either fill the lamp, or on rare occasions drip into the rear of the vehicle. The remedy is to replace the lamp assembly(ies). Seeing as these are lower than the window, there is no way you would see this water on the rear window. Also as a side note, there is no such thing as a FWD GLC, so you may want to change your signature.

Hi, Kartcher is a high pressure water unit, plug into PowerPoint , like Gerni brand, they have removable nozzles for cleaning car, 4x4, pavements, etc usually output 1700psi. The mini hand blower is like Makita battery or power plug version, some cheaper brands like "Rok". It's like a shrunken garden blower /vac with a soft rubber nozzle on the end, so not to scratch duco. Carpenters use them onsite for quick clean ups, light easy to use and minimal risk of damage, as do some car detailer's. Have a look at Auto Alchemy on Facebook, he uses them as well as a foaming attachment when cleaning cars that have duco treatment to avoid duco swirls.
