Thanks swalroth and frogman! I'll file that service bulletin # so I'll have it handy if I need it.

Now, back to the map update questions.....

My GLC hit the Baltimore. VPC 7/2/17 and it has V10 NA maps installed. Like someone said, dealer access to new versions must be a little delayed compared to new cars coming in. Looks like it would be available to them whenever it becomes available at the VPC.

GLC Comand Nav Update

The new nav update (North America V.10.0) just arrived at our dealership this week. My 2016 GLC300 is updating right now.

Could you talk more about the Garmin system? Does it override the existing MB GPS system?

One main issue my wife and I have with our GLC is just how abysmal the GPS system is in general. Just eons behind anything in a cell phone these days. I've seen the MB GPS Garmin cards for sale, can these substitute in for the existing GPS system?

I find the MB Comand GPS fine for most travel. When we are on a longer journey, I use waze on my cell phone at the same time and generally will use the waze directive first if different. Mercedes is in the car-making business and as such is not going to be as good at satellite navigation as a priority app will be. I have a garmin in my lexus and again, it works fine most of the time, but waze is still better IMO.
Too bad waze can't be streamed to the vid in the car without spending MORE money.

The directions themselves are sufficient. But there are some important UI touches that are painfully missing!

It's quite understandable how Google/Apple really have user interfaces down pat, as without that, no one would use their apps!

“2018 Mercedes-Benz Vehicles Equipped With The COMAND Navigation System Come With Three Years Of Complimentary Map Updates“

Can anyone tell me if this is only in the US and not Canada?
