Why is it so hard to find a GLC on dealers lots with LED's

Why is it so hard to find a GLC on dealers lots with LED's. I believe that I have look at every dealership with in 500 mile of my house and have only found 3-5 GLC equipped with LED's. Its only a $850 option so why don't dealership order their GLC with this option. MB needs to make these lights standard and stop nickel and dime people for every option even if the base price has to increase a little bit.

That's my impression with my local MB dealers as well. Seems like they are more interested in pushing those $499 lease specials with the bare bone specs.

I've took a quick glance recently at a MB dealer near me, and without looking closely I saw that the majority of GLC inventory had halogen headlights with no panoramic roof. Thus my speculation.

Because if you want LED's, you have to order Prem 1 pack, Heated seats, etc.

A bunch of unnecessary ripoff stuff.....

Blame Mercedes for the bad option grouping.

Also, I also wanted to get the Adaptive LED, and now it is impossible unless you get the $7K+ P3 package....really sucks.

'16 model year - had to get one in from Texas

In my search last summer (June '16) I had the MBZ dealer in Rocklin, CA do a search for the specification I wanted - the LED intelligent headlights and side collision warning and silver were the add-on options that were mandatory.

We found one in Texas that they traded and had transferred to Northern Calif. I had similar headlights on the predecessor BMW X-1 and would never go back to the base halogen types.

Maybe you can have your dealer search for left over '16 model year units? They did not bundle the headlight option until '17 if I remember correctly.

LEDs were not bundled in 2016. Separate lighting package. There were no in between LEDs either.

I ran into the same thing when looking to buy my GLC. I could not find the color, and options we wanted. If I am spending around $50K for a new car, it needs to be exactly like I want it. I ordered mine and waited about 2-3 months and got it with everything we wanted, no more, no less - easy

I read in a lot of the threads how people are frustrated because they can't find the Burmester sound system, 360 degree camera, LED lights etc. The easy solution is to order what you want, it is worth it.

I also ordered mine so that I would get exactly what I wanted.

Also ordered my first GLC in August received Christmas week. Best thing I ever did. Will do the same thing when it's time to purchase a car again. Waiting 4 months is worth it. .

I've seen "limited availability" posted on some of the sites when doing research on the GLC and LEDs. I'm wondering if there is a parts issue/shortage for them.

Of the 250 or so GLC43's across the country I searched on Autotrader, many had standard halogen lights...kinda funny on a vehicle at this price point, IMO.

Coming home from Palm Springs last Sunday night saw a GLC coupe on the freeway. I pulled up next to it looked nice from behind in white but when I passed her up and saw she had halogen lights on, I felt sorry for her. Barely lit the lane ahead of her. So I looked ahead with my LED lights and was proud held my head high chin up till it met the panoramic roof till I got home. LOL. How can you spend so much money and not get LED lights?
Halogen should be banned Internationally.

Try cargurus. I had many luck in finding what I wanted. And look in the Chicago, Ohio area dealers. I'm from LA and found plenty of 43 with every option I wanted. For some reason they get better selection out there.

I thought LED headlights were standard on the coupe?
