I'm sure part of the issue some 63 owners have comes down to how many cars Mercedes is slapping the AMG badge on to and they're not feeling as unique about it. But that's a different argument on its own. I suppose it would be like me crying about someone getting the "AMG Line" option on the car and throwing a stink because it isn't really an AMG. Whatever... I don't want to steer this thread off topic.
I agree, I'm just ranting since I'm reading up in the other forums and the 63 guys are just being stupidly condescending. The one-man, one-engine thing isn't sustainable if AMG wants to reach its sales numbers, and in an industry where automakers are stretching out their platforms to cover different models and transplanting and sharing engines, it's bound to happen that you'll get massaged engines instead of exclusive engines. Just look at BMW, Audi and Porsche.

Anyway, looking forward to picking up a 43 in the fall. Live in the Northeast so the 63 models would be a pain to deal with in the snow (except for the GLC63 though).

2018 GLC300 P01 selenite grey
My local dealer said the new 2018 GLC is only a couple of months away, expected Aug. They are at the port going through inspection, due to the recent false emissions scandals.
He said the base GLC300 will be around $2K higher (inflation). From the brochure draft provided on this thread, it seems that Carplay will be standard, and so is Keyless Start. But Keyless GO is P01 which will be another $2K. So a 2018 GLC300 P01 with select color around $45K MSRP, and probably no discounts until next year..

There is no way the 18 GLC300 will have a base of $45k. Never has been more than $1k increase and that is because more standard options. There is no such thing as inflation in adjusting the price.

A new 17 SL is almost the same cost as new SL back in 90's

I was talking to my salesman on Friday and he gave me the figures the computer was showing.

GLC 300 AWD base: $41,850
319 Advanced Lighting: 1,900
320 Multimedia Package: 2,200
997 Premium Driver Assist: 3,150
996 Advanced Parking Assist: 1,290
413 Panorama Roof: 1,500
443 Heated Steering: 250
463 HUD: 990
810 Burmester Sound: 850
872 Heated Rear: 580
873 Heated Front: 580
Destination: 995

It also said the prices were subject to change. These were the only options I was pricing so that is all I have.

Thanks for this information. There appear to be slight increases in some options, such as the sunroof, but not in some others. The $700 increase in base price can be at least partly attributed to the now standard storage package and heated wipers. It's hard to figure how much extra we're paying due to the reconfigured packages. However, it appears that the old Premium 3 package is now spread out over three new packages; I didn't check item by item that everything in Premium 3 is now contained in these new packages, but if so, the old and new arrangement works out to about the same price.

My tentative configuration includes a few more options than yours. I intend to go to a dealer later this week, and I'll see then how the total cost looks. So far, I'm optimistic that there's not much of an increase over MY17.

Those prices are estimates base on same $/option on different MB models. There is no official prices for 2018 GLC. He priced the panorama roof at $1.500 but for 2018 C300 the price is down to $1.090.
Regarding the configuration there is a very frustrating scenario that a lot of people will find just stupid:

If you want to have 997 Driver assist pack you have to have 320 Multimedia pack. But for anyone who does not care about 320 and they want 868 Smart phone integration they cannot have 997 because it will requiter to have 320 which is not compatible with 868.

advanced lighting = LED headlamps + interior LED stuff, right? I assume that just the LED headlamps are still going to be around 850 by themselves

In case anyone is trying to find '18 prices since they're not available online yet and no one seems to have the '18 DOG with prices, the prices quoted by slope72 ARE accurate. They are NOT estimates as suggested by wassaby above. I just got the MSRP page for my 2018 GLC300 4Matic and slope72 is correct. Granted, you can't build an AMG model from this info, but if you're trying to rough out a price without going to a dealer, here you go!

And stuven is correct.....the 3 new packages DO equal the old P3 item by item, except the Air Balance option previously included with P3 is now a $350 standalone option.

I know lots of you guys are anxious to build your MY18 online. Guess it will come up eventually. Looks like they would want it out there since they aren't building '17's anymore. Go figure!

Looks like it. But you can still get 18's if you want them according to the MY18DOG. I spec'd 18's on my MY17 build because I thought it might ride a little softer from what I had read. I really liked the way the 19's looked though. My car wound up being built as a MY18 as the order went in late March when they were switching over. I still got my 18's, but it does apppear I could have gotten 19's since they are standard for MY18.

So what I hoped was a typo is true: if you want the AMG-look package you must only like black interiors. Is there anything else I get with my AMG package like a cooler for my Red Bull and a mirror for my cocaine?

"the best or nothing" LOL. Pathetic.

Look at the June guide. If you want the Sport package you no longer get the choice of interior color. It's black only. Who rolls back an option like that?

Updated MY18 DOG dated 6/22/17

https://drive.google.com/file/d/0Bzf...tWMlR0VDA/view

Ran across this in another thread. Haven't studied it yet, but noticed a couple of things:

- Earlier editions showed 19" rims as STD equipment. Must have been a mistake. Looks like they've gone back to 18's STD, 19's a $500 option

- looks like they reversed the base price for the RWD and the 4Matic. Geesh!

This DOES have the 43's and '63's specs and options also

After you go to this link, touch the download arrow at the top right of the page. The brochure this links to is real jerky when you scroll through it. Downloading gives you a nice version that scrolls smoothly and you can also save it in iBooks if you want to. MUCH easier to navigate.

Enjoy!

This provides one with the ARTICO leather stitched dashboard and the top of all four doors finished in the same.
