I went and checked and you are correct they are blanks. Something up front sensed a car in front though. It happened twice at a traffic light. I was approaching the car in front a little too fast and an alarm went off, and I assumed it was from those sensors. Now I wonder what set the alarm off.

Yup the front one has break assist , the alarm went off one time when I was driving. But I don’t know the rear one for😪..this is what I’ve been doing every night ever since I got this glc, to find out how they can install the sensor without rewiring and drilling a hole with $52k+ Car which until now how Mercedes can’t put that as a standard feature. Even a cheap Japanese car has that back up sensor as a standard..I guess I have to suck it up till I get tired and trade in again.

According to this the circles are place holders for the optional ultrasonic parking sensors and the front collision radar is hidden in the bumper.

Hope they can install that “ultrasonic parking sensors” since it’s already there. Maybe they just need to activate it, instead of making a trade. Thanks for your input. I found the plate number holder Fensens, I know my friends will be laughing at me n my Mercedes for using that, hey I’d rather be safe.

Parking package adds a few more sensors on the side of the bumpers. Im afraid preinstalled used with something else.
