Hey folks, thinking about upgrading the wheels on my GLC coupe from the standard 19" ones to these in 20" (18" pictured here, but you get the idea). They are Konig Intentions, and I think they have a good balance of dark and light, but curious on your thoughts. I've never upgraded my wheels before, so any advice would be appreciated.
Save a ton of money and have your current wheels powdercoated gloss black. You retain all stock ride characteristics and save a couple thousand dollars.

That looks much better than the two tone color. I think i am just a fan of solid colors, as I like the all "titanium" look too.

Not sure how that would look on the stock ones I have currently, but if you have any images of that, I'd be interested in seeing. Also, I'm looking to increase the size from 19" to 20" to fill in some of the gap.
my opinion is if they are stronger and lighter than the oe wheels with proper fit (width, offsets, etc.), then they look good. If not, they look like ****.
Have you thought about using plasti dip on your oem wheels?
btw.. what percentage tint is your front windows?
I think based on how wide the spokes on the OEM wheels are, it would look a bit much to plasti dip them. I'm thinking that the Intentions would give them a little more breathing room between the spokes, as well as bring out the grey, black, and chrome of the rest of the body.
I had actually just had the tints done about an hour before I took this picture. They are 35%.

The increased wheel size won't fill any of the gap because it will correspond with a smaller sidewall height on the new tires. Overall combined tire/wheel height will remain the same. There are only 2 legit ways to reduce the gap between tire and wheel well.
1. Go outside OEM specs for tire/wheel combos.
2. Drop the suspension.

You are 100% right, I was more thinking about the "appearance" of a reduced gap, which larger wheels tend to do. I'm also thinking of dropping the suspension just an inch or so, but not sure yet if I want to go down that path.
