Tire rotation/resetting TPMS

I want to do my own tire rotations on my wife's GLC300. Will the TPMS need to be reset for the new location of each tire or will it know they have been moved automatically? I know on a Dodge Ram 2500, it knows they have been moved. Apparently there is an antenna in each wheel well. Any ideas on the GLC?

If you are in the USA. TPMS is based in each wheel. Need to set wheel to appropriate pressure once rotated. I would go ahead and reset system.

Not sure you are understanding the question asked. If you are then, I'm not understanding your answer!

I understand the question. Antennae are at each wheel on cars in USA with sensor mounted in the valve stem. If you keep pressure the same in all 4 wheels you do not need to do anything. If you use different pressures front and rear. I would get pressure where you want it for each tire after rotate and reset system. Cars in Canada read off ABS. I do not know about the EU or GB.

Awesome ! Thanks guys for the input! Glad to know I can rotate tires myself without a trip to the dealer to have sensors reprogrammed! Vehicles keep getting more and more complicated for good ole boys to be able to do their own maintenance.

For GLC that comes with TPM system that reads off the ABS, are there any settings that can be set for them? Eg sensitivity or alert threshold?
If we do get a warning, after getting the affected wheel fixed, do we need to reset it in anyway or just start driving it as usual?

Once the message is triggered (flat tire), you'll need to correct the problem first (fix the flat), then reset the error.
It's in the menus, using the buttons and arrows on the steering wheel.

Anyone know how to reset the system after rotating tires for USA models? To be more specific, I see how there is a simple reset function if the tires are set to a new pressure for example. But, how are they "re-programmed" once they move to different corners of the car?

Thanks!

A gaggle of MB's
I "think" it's around pg 342-343... in that section under Resetting Tire Pressure System..

Of course I tried, why would I make a post otherwise? This isn't my first rodeo and I've been working on cars for many years (but not MBs). Looking at the manual index is of no use in many cases. You have to read every damn page. MB just makes it way harder to find than every other car I've owned. Maybe its a language-translation issue that aggravates finding the terms to look for.

In this case, "reset" doesn't give the desired results in the index. Neither does "restarting" but that is what it is actually called once you read every page that could be related.

Thanks for not helping!

Thanks! I was searching for the wrong term. Its actually called "restarting" not resetting which is what threw me off.

Having owned a string of MB's beginning in 1973, I have developed a pretty good working knowledge along the way. It starts by becoming somewhat familiar with the owners manual. Seems today's crowd is more interested in having someone else do the work for them. I am very willing to help, but I think it is reasonable to expect some effort to develop ones own knowledge.

It's on page 343 but the procedure described there is complicated and totally unnecessary. Just use the Multi-Function Display menu to scroll down to Service and display the tire pressures. You'll note an arrow at the bottom of the tire pressure display, Opening that gives you the option to reset (restart) the TPMS system with the current tire pressures.

As far as I know this isn't documented,
