Has anyone with a 9/30 release date heard from their dealer? I have not, called my dealer today - my SA was out and another told me last update was my car arrived at VPC on July 19th, gee thanks. Regardless that set off me calling MB customer service as well as emailing MB requesting a call back.

September 30th Release Date

I had a September 30th release date. I called my SA yesterday, 10/2, and he said the port told him to tell me to expect the vehicle by the end of next week. He also said that the port actually expected to deliver the vehicle by the end of this week. I will let you know if I hear more.

Thanks for the update. It looks like the E63's are being released today so I wonder if we are just caught in lots of cars being released at the same time. Let's hope they are delivered this week and we are driving them this weekend.

I'm hoping for the best for all of you still waiting. I must have just lucked out. My SA said they had several other AMG models delayed an additional month that also were priority 1's with end customers. Hopefully you get yours soon. Next will be scheduling an AZ meet haha.

Since my Oct 1 ready date has passed, I called MB and after 24 hours had a supervisor call me back with little knowledge. I also emailed MB, had a supervisor call me back with better updated information. He was able to now tell be that my new ready date is October 27th, disappointing, but not much I can do. For those of you with 2018's waiting it may be sooner in October. He was explaining to me that once the 2018's come in they are prioritized ahead of the 2017's.

Prioritized ahead of 2017's? Even if the vehicle has amend customer like yours? I can only understand that to a certain extent. I mean 2018's are constantly coming in. Did he provide any sort of reasoning that makes any kind of sense as to why that is??

I know, it makes no sense. You would think they would want the 17's gone 1st from the VPC. I do know that me contacting MB corp, triggered them calling the GM of the dealership so let's hope things move quicker. Dealer nor supervisor gave me no clear reason.

I just realized my previous post was typo city. Anyways I don't think I would accept that answer. You've been waiting this long and the car has an end user... that's terrible customer service, and calling that is even a stretch at this point, if they won't prioritize a customer who has been waiting longer than anybody else. It's like if the Cars movie was real your Mercedes is all alone and crying as the newer ones come in and get adopted. It feels unwanted.

Tbro I appreciate your passion and concern but I am finding it impossible to get beyond a supervisor at MB corp. Dealer is of no help at this point. If you or anyone has an email or direct line to someone at MB corp and are willing to share or PM me, it's much appreciated. Even getting a supervisor takes a 24 hour wait.

My dealer called me today and my car was released from the VPC. They are expecting it any day! Finally, the wait is almost over.

Talked to the dealership yesterday, 10/12, and my status was changed to released to carrier. My GLC43 should be here by Monday.

Congrats, Sawyer! Boy, you (and some others) have been waiting a while now. I noticed you were planning on getting a loaner back in July when your lease ran out. Just wondering how that played out with the unexpected delays on the 43's?

I know you'll enjoy your new ride!

Thanks Vaboy. Yep, been driving a loaner for about 2 1/2 months now. When the delay started increasing I asked if they would need it back and was told no way, not until my new car arrived.

Glad to hear that. Classy of your dealer to step up like they did.
