Speed Limit Info in 2018 GLC

I am interested in speed limit info in the 2018 brand new GLC I am planning to buy.
If I get the Garmin MAP PILOT ($650), will I be able to see the speed limit information with that. If not, what is the option I need to get to have this speed limit info feature in 2018 GLC.
Please advise.

In our loaded GLC300 AWD, the only time I see the speed limit is while driving on the freeway (65 mph). Well, I know the speed limit on freeways. What I need to know is the speed limit on city/county roads. My previous car was very accurate displaying those speed limits.

Are you sure?
In Ireland the Garmin system shows speed limits.....would have thought both markets would be similar.

In USA, apparently the speed limit assist is based only on GPS. I think in Europe it's based on camera recognition of the actual signs and maybe GPS.
From this and from previous discussions on speed limit assist displaying in GLCs, it seems that there are some geographical differences in GPS tags for speed limits on roads and highways.

I live in Winston-Salem, NC....I see speed limits on all highways and major roads....I mostly do not see it on residential roads and on some other smaller roads (the same roads, by the way for which my husband's X1 does display speed limits).

But the irritating thing, too, is that it's not quite just GPS but it's also dependent on the nav system; lately speed limits have been mostly increasing on our highways, and I continue to see the old speed limits in my Comand screen but I can clearly see the new speed limit on the posted signs. So it's also then only as accurate as the as-of date when the nav system software was updated for these changes, and then in turn when you're so blessed as to get the nav software update on the GLC.

No not sure Decorily, just thought that was the case.

No mention of speed limit information when adding garmin on uk configurator, if you add traffic sign info it adds the premium plus pack which has the command system.

I had the same problem.

See: https://mbworld.org/forums/glc-class...-freeways.html

Dealer fixed it with the 2018 Navigation map update. It's a known issue with some US GLC's loaded with the 2017 map.

Just checked my C300 (built in December 2017) and it has map version 10 and I bet my wife's GLC300 (built in September 2017) also has version 10.
