Not entirely sure, although I don’t think so. We will know for sure when the Order Guide is updated with the AMG specific content which hopefully wont be too much longer now.

shows the 63 S SUV at the New York Auto Show, so it's apparently being made for at least some markets.
shows a 63 S SUV vs coupe comparison.

I looked back through my emails for my order from 2017. My dealership told me the options would be frozen on August 11th, and the build date was Sept 5th. I had actually ordered the vehicle earlier that June.

May be worth noting in June they informed me certain options would change the date of delivery due to limited supply. In my case, making an option to the Designo Leather interior would have added 8 weeks. So not every option can always be fit within the timeframe.

Wifey's 2020 GLC goes into production June 2 according to my dealer. How long does it take?

Question best answered by your dealer. What configuration did you get? My experience is build time is usually less that 1 week.

For complete accuracy, I agree with HerrK. That said, when I ordered mine it was early September and received for delivery in late November. The actual build/production time isn't that long...week or two.

At completion of build it takes a week or two to get on the ship. Then 6-8 weeks for ship transport to East coast ports. 8-10 weeks to West cost ports. Another 1-2 weeks through vehicle preparation center (VPC).
So anywhere from 8-22 weeks depending on the right or left coast and how fast/slow it process through the logistics system. Production complete to your delivery at dealer.

The dealer should be able to tell you where exactly where in the process your vehicle on his MB system. BMW used to have a public tracking version with minimal fidelity, which wasn't very accurate - a good sales associate will be able to easily give you the latest production/logistics locations & status. It usually annoys the sales associate if you ask status frequently - not that I would know from personal experience.
