I think in general some members don’t like them just for the potential leak problem. As for the GLC300, there was a recall of 9,379 2017 & 2018 GLC’s to check that the pano was properly bonded with adhesive to the car. Mine was checked and they said it was ok. Some people have reported that their pano spontaneously shattered and there must be some kind of defect in the glass. I’m not sure how many times this has happened, but I assume a recall would have been issued if it was a real problem. You can always check the VIN of a particular car to see if any recalls are open on it.

Currently, I'm in talks with dealers on two vehicles of interests, both of these are out of state.
One - Red exterior with 18K miles priced $35K, transportation cost $2K; Second: Diamond white with 13K miles priced at $34K and transportation cost $1K
Same configuration on both vehicles: Beige interior, P02(Ambient lighting, blind spot, etc), pano roof, Burmester sound, LED lights, Heated front seats, Illuminated star, a trailer hitch, front chrome trim.
I liked both vehicles, but....couldn't land on one decision. Any help?? do you think low miles with white(good colour) is a good option? or do you prefer a bright colour with more miles?

both are very nice. Get whichever appeals to you. Red looks really nice in the flesh. White I have not seen but it should look good. 18k is not too much, and 13k is almost new. Doesn't matter really. What year are we looking at and if it is older than 2018, are you okay without smartphone package for Apple carplay, Android auto.

mb has a 4 year 60000 warranty right? Do you mean 2024 or are you talking about that glc I had recommended above?

2017 CPO that I was looking for has been sold by the time I made the decision. But I closed the deal on 2020 GLC300 for 39K(MSRP $48K) with the configuration of the white exterior, beige interior, ambient lighting and panoramic roof. Also, I declined or said maybe later for all the additional financial packages that the dealer offered me, except the lifetime oil and filter changes for $500.

Personally, i did it for our 2018 CPO.

Was looking for used around $30K with low miles but one of my friends suggested to shop a new one, considering COVID19 situation. Need help in deciding on whether to get new or used vehicle especially in this situation. Currently, one dealer offering new GLC 300 4MATIC 2019(14% off MSRP 45000, no panoramic roof), 2020(11% off MSRP 47000, with panoramic roof). Found one used 2017(with 10K miles), and 2016(with 36K miles) vehicles, but 2017 may need tires replacement, and both vehicles need maintenance I guess
Not sure, if I need to go with used or new(2020/2019), in dilemma. The plan is to drive for 5years and then decide to sell/trade to get another car or keep this one. Please any help is greatly appreciated

I actually went into a dealership because they had a used GLC 300 I was interested in test driving. We usually buy used cars that are about 3 years old coming off a lease with low mileage. However, I ended up buying the 2019 GLC 300 4Matic new 3 years ago because the deal was so good. Obviously you want as many of the accessories that interest you but in my case the cars were exactly the same. So in my case the cost of new tires + used car was extremely close to the cost of the new car.
you should consider any differences in the warranty as well. We buy used BMWs and the warranty on the used is better than on new for some reason. BTW I have the panoramic roof and could easily live without it but that’s just me. Good luck!

Having owned a 2016 and now 2021 GLC300, they've gotten better in terms of quality each year, so buy the newest one you can. I had problems with my 2016 (which was the first year of the model) and it seems people had problems with the 2017 too.
