CAN I FIT AMG GLC 43 EXHAUST TIPS IN GLC 300 COUPE AMG LINE AKA AMG PACKAGE?
HEY GUYS SO I WANT TO BUY CHROME OEM AMG EXHAUST TIPS FROM AMG 43 AND REPLACE THEM IN MY CAR, NOW THE QUESTION IS, WILL THE OEM AMG GLC TIPS FIT NON AMG GLC COUPE WITH AMG LINE AKA AMG PACKAGE (SEE PICTURE) WITHOUT PROBLEM? CAN I JUST SWAP THEM OR DO I NEED TO CHANGE THE DIFFUSER IN ORDER FOR THEM TO FIT, I WOULD ASSUM THAT I CAN JUST SWAP THEM OUT, ANY IDEA? THANKS IN ADVANCE

I originally bought the face plate covers to look like the 43. Looked fine - year and a half later - the paint started to chip and the adhesive let go - lost one somewhere. So I bought the full housings and put them in. Took all of 15 mins to install.
Ill get a pic up later of how they look. Mine are black though since i have the Night Package.
From everything i have read - you CANNOT add the 63s Style Quad exhaust housings without a full new rear diffuser swap. But i can confirm - no issues with the 43 style housings.
Brandon, thanks for getting back to me and answering my question, so they do fit!I was told the same thing by the ebay seller that they will fit just wanted to make sure, I'm looking to get the chrome ones since im leaving few pieces chrome so I think that will look best, I will reach out to your seller and ask if they have chrome ones or only black ones (the one I was gonna buy are OEM AMG not aftermarket but that should not matter), def post a picture of yours and how to DIY, maybe few shots where to disconnect etc since you already did it, thanks again!
also I was thinking of just doing the tip covers since that's the cheapest way, does it look good or you can tell its plastic? BTW your seller doesn't ship to USA and also it doesn't say it fits X253 GLC Coupe, they look the same but it doesn't say its for GLC Coupe x253 ...
It is the right one. This has been going around in the caliper colors thread. X253 has a more rhombus shape while the facelift gets a more rectangle shape. There are adhesive ones for 29.99 and a bottle of gorrila glue would be enough.
Brandon actually I found a link with same seller that does ship to USA, they offer expedite shipping for additional $35 which I would get within a week, where are you located that it took only 9 days from the day you bought it? thanks
is saw the tips, they did cross my mind, but do they look cheap, can you tell they are add ons? Or they actually look OEM? Those ebay tips are $130+ and they are actual tips not plastic covers

Although the housing link i put up does not explicitly say that they fit the x253 (Coupe) Model - they certainly do - as I just fitted them on mine. The housings for pre-face lift GLC's seem to be completely interchangeable with almost all other MB models with this same shape (the rhombus design) - most likely to reduce production costs by having them all the same - prior to the re-design. Hence the massive list he shows that they fit on.
I previously went the route of buying the exhaust covers. (from my posts in the Caliper Colors Thread) They worked - looked good - you would never tell they were just covers. But - after 1.5 years of having them on - due to the exhaust heat - the paint started to flake of. No big deal - removed the right one - sanded and re-painted with Tremclad High Heat Enamel. Looked great. I went ahead and tried to put it back on with some industrial adhesive from my shop. Seemed to work - a week later the cover was gone - i guess it wasnt the right adhesive.
So rather than buying the covers again - i bought the full housings - from the link above. I live in a suburb of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Again - shipping was lightening fast.
Installation was a breeze - i dont have any photos - but it was easy. (2) Torx T45 screws are holding each housing. You have to fiddle a bit to get the metal hinge piece to sit right - but it took no more than 15 mins. I dont have a photo right now because im on my motorcycle at work - but i will get a photo later.
Here is what mine looked like with the 'covers' only - once i put the next pic up - youll see they are almost identical.
Brandon thanks for your input that's exactly what I wanted to know, you answered all my questions! I feel the same way, for the $140 I think I rather get the full housing and replace them and don't worry about them coming off, especially if its quick and easy swap why not, again I appreciate your help and I will buy the full housing. 🙏🏻🤙🏻
KCSam has installed the "cheap housings" and said they work fine...
If you are referring to the post from Caliper Colors (Post #136) - i believe he installed the adhesive exhaust cover plates - and not the full housings that are depicted above.
yes, I ordered the chrome tips from the ebay seller that Brandon recommended, they came in within 8 or 9 days, easy install 2 screws hold each one, 5 minute swap, they look great and won't come off.
