Hey guys so I want to replace the OEM Chrome Mercedes star in the rear camera badge with a gloss black one to match my emblems but I can't figure out how to remove it, I found videos on YouTube on other models but not GLC (GLC seems to have a different mounting vs the videos I saw) here are some pictures of the camera open, let me know if you have any idea how to remove this badge, thanks in advance 🙏

hey thanks for getting back to me, so I believe your son removed the entire camera housing with the badge, I know there is a way to remove just the round badge only but I don't know how to do it on this particular model, thanks

Go back to that post, seems someone has figured it out, but they did not post the instructions

If you really want to do it, you may have to remove the entire attachment and reinstall it. That doesn't sound "cheap".

Look at the link I posted, And go to the end, instructions have now been posted, on a simpler way to remove the star.

Hey so I made a quick video of how to remove the rear camera star badge

That ought to help somebody like you in the future

I just used this video to do my 2022 cla 45 and let me tell you it's the same for these cars too (c118) however you do have to get in there and muscle it a bit . It took me longer cuz I was scared but once I committed it came off. The key is to get under the painted plate beneath the star , then the clips come off easier. Also used one the black starts off eBay and it worked well, no issues in case any one is wondering on fitment of the stars off eBay.
