Instruction needed to install lower chrome lip on 2020 GLC SUV

Anyone know how easy or difficult to install OEM chrome strip on 2020 GLC300 SUV? Is it require the removal of the bumper? Or can I just crawl under the car and install it? Looks like it is just a bolt on job.

For whatever reason North American facelift GLC300 is missing this chrome strip which I really love. Finally able to find the part number and can get it on ebay or maybe able to order from dealer.

North American version with only center chrome.

Full chrome strip on other part of the world

I think the North American version is somewhat called off-road

I would like to know this as well. Though I don't have the car yet haha.

The chrome lip is on the GLC43 US version. By checking part numbers, I suspect you'll also need part #17 (A2538851304) on this diagram for the new pieces to clip into.

Here's the parts diagrams I used as reference
2020+ GLC300 w/ AMG Line
2020+ GLC43

Would love to know your finding too!

Hi- did anyone close this loop? I just picked up a '20 GLC 300 SUV with AMG package and swapped out the grill to all-black AMG. I'd like to upgrade the lower spoiler as well. And does anyone know whether it comes in black as well?? Hope someone can help, R-.

I can confirm the conversion in this thread can be done. I went with all-black but required an additional part that sits behind and above the three parts identified earlier. The parts included:
Part Number Part Name
253-885-25-04 Trim Molding
253-885-26-04 Trim Molding
253-885-28-04 Trim Molding
253-885-13-04 Cover, Bumper Area
I had the work done by Mirror Image Detailing in West Orange, NJ (https://mirrorimagenj.com/). The owner, Matt, a detail-oriented perfectionist, removed the bumper and said it was a simple swap but also said the additional fourth part had to be swapped-out as well.

What is the total cost of the conversion?

I started the thread but ended up going for the GLE route. The dealer quoted the cost that was out of this world. I ended up liking the GLE look a lot more..

Hmm, not sure why my post showed up twice; but to answer your question:

A local dealership wanted ~$700 just for the parts. I shopped it on the internet and found a dealership in the Northeast that sold them to me for 50% less. The parts were shipped directly from MB Corporate. I'm not sure how they could do it but I'm guessing the dealership gets a volume rebate or something.

Installation was reasonable but I think I got a volume discount as I had my detailer do a bunch of other stuff: ceramic coating; amg grill swap; and painting the calipers.
