2020 GLC mirror stop auto folding when lock
Any idea? I hope I can just some how reset it without going to dealer.
When press the mirror button on the driver door, the mirrors fold and unfold without problem. I have tried turn on/off the auto fold in setting, no luck.
I forgot the key in the car overnight last night. Not sure if that is related. The car was switched off though.

When I first set up my vehicle auto folding was not working. I went into settings, took a couple tries of saving settings - has worked every time I lock doors by handle press. Don't usually lock or open through fob or Mercedes me app.

So you want to *stop* it auto folding when you lock the car?
It's in the car settings per user profile and also in your mercedes me profile iirc. If you've set it and it's not working then perhaps it's being replaced by MercMe settings or you're changing profiles regularly and you haven't set it on all of them?

It's a coding issue. I had this problem with my '19 C63S. Dealership had to update the door module to fix it. Has worked reliably ever since. You can temporarily make it work by manually folding/unfolding the mirrors or turning the setting off and on again, but it eventually stops working again until they update the coding.

Activating/deactivating the automatic mirror folding function, in the
Multimedia system: go to
Settings
Vehicle
Switch Automatic Folding on or off.
I don’t think it follows profiles, I turned it off, and no matter whose profile is selected, the mirrors no longer fold in when locking the vehicle, no matter if it’s by touching the door handle, or using the fob

actually it does follow profiles, so you have to ensure all profiles are the same, if you want the mirrors to fold in all the time

The car is one year old and this is first time the issue happens. And I am sure no one touched Automatic Folding setting (It was on when stop folding).
If that happen again, I think I will bring it to dealer as you said. ty!
