Oh boy! You finally have "another developing situation" because one (1) person with a four year old car, not first owner, reported a "suspected" cracked piston. And then that one (1) post has been repeated several times and all of a sudden, it's a "trend."

Now someone can post links to other threads, where the word "piston" was used, to support the TREND!
It's the Mass Media philosophy - repeat, repeat, repeat and SOMEBODY out there will begin to think it's true. And theypost on Twitter, where, of course, everything is true.

And now, for some real substance: Engine problems are rare with the 2.0 GLC300.

cmon @mikapen spend some time reading the other sections of this site. You worked in the car business didn’t you? You worked for a Mercedes dealer, correct? Are you defending your home team? Are you capable of being objective?

Why, yes, no, no and yes. I have worked for (and was certified in) every foreign manufacturer sold in the U.S. except Land Rover, Honda and Mercedes. Even Peugeot and Saab.
As a result, I am pretty objective - and can recognize "overstatements" (being kind) when I see them. Especially recurring cut and pastes.

GLC 300 Coupe 4Matic
I had the same issue with a 2019 GLC 300 Coupe, 42K Miles Cracked piston #1. The dealership is telling me that I have to change the full engine at cost of 20,000 USD.

I dont know what to do.

I still have my 2018 GLC, now with 34K miles. I'll be bringing it in tomorrow for a Service B but have not had this issue.
