With MBUX things are a little different, but the syncing settings are under Profiles | General Settings. There you can activate automatic syncing or trigger a manual sync (screenshot from the owners manual below for reference). However, where did you create the profiles? You have to create the profiles in Mercedes me and then they sync to the car. The profiles you create in the car don't sync to Mercedes me. When you created your Mercedes me account a profile should have been created for you. To create additional profiles for other drivers, you first have to set them up as co-users to your Mercedes me account. They will then be able to use the Mercedes me app to access the car and maintain their own profile. You have to login to the portal and invite them. Once they accept the invitation and installed the Mercedes me app they can edit their own profile. You can't edit theirs on your phone.

Thanks for the reply , i have created profile in the vehicle itself . I am unable to create profile on mercedes me app, my main page of app shows "Missing connected user profile" and says Connect now. once i click on connect now it says following "attached image".

That's correct. You can't actually create the profiles. They get automatically created for the main user and any co-users (up to 2) you invite. You need to follow the instructions to sync them to your car. Any profile you create directly in the car is only for local use. If the synchronization settings don't show up in your car, then make sure you have the Personalization service activated in your Mercedes me account.

How's your car optioned? Do you have the Multimedia package? W/o it you won't have the full MBUX functionality.

Oh, you are in Canada. Yes, looks like the Premium package has all the goodies in your market. In that case I'm not sure what's going on with your system. I'm not a 100% familiar with MBUX as I have COMAND 5.5 in my car and I was able to successfully sync the profiles by simply turning on the automatic synchronization in the car. The app and portal are exactly the same as with MBUX, so it's just the UI that is slightly different. But if the sync settings don't even show up in your car then I'm at a loss. Either this is not fully supported in Canada or one of the many bugs in MBUX.

Hi there, I'm having this exact same problem down to the sync option missing from the menu in the vehicle. I got in touch with mercedes 2 months ago but haven't heard anything.

In my case, registering online alone did not help. It wouldn't sync. The dealership had to do it. They send a code to your phone and activate it. Only then did sync and other stuff work (like locking/unlocking, changing car settings via the app, car location etc).

Angry Profile Won't Synchronize and No Internet

I know I am late to this party, but has anyone found a reasonable resolution to this issue? I recently bought a "Certified" pre-owned 2021 GLC 300 Coupe and I am already regretting it. Constant run-arounds between the dealership, Mercedes' Customer Service, and Mercedes Me app support. Ugh!!! And to add insult to injury, I purchased the Navigation module through the Mercedes Me Connect (with my silly self) and surprise, that's not working either! The Navigation shows that it is "activated" in the app on my iPhone, but it hasn't uploaded to the car. As for the internet problem, I have even tried using my phone as a hotspot and an actual portable hotspot!

Sorry, I should have mentioned, the dealership tried removing my profile and reinstating it. We reset the MBUX module to it's factory settings to see if the option to synchronize would show up, and the dealership updated the Hermes module. Nothing has worked. In fact, the Mercedes Me app randomly disappeared from the MBUX screen in the vehicle! Weird!

hi -- same issue with my 2021 GLC43. would appreciate an update. here's what MBCustomer Care said for me to do (which i haven't yet because the dealer has nO IDEA everytime i bring it in, 2x so far lol )

"Please make sure that in the head unit settings the WiFi/WLAN option is enabled. If that would not solve the issue, please send the customer to a workshop and advise the workshop to reset the internet certificate of the head unit and take the head unit again into operation. If this does not solve the issue please advise the workshop to create a TIPS case with a control unit logfile of the TCU (HERMES or RAMSES) and of the Head unit as well. Thank you"

Hello all!

I'm in the same boat. Auto Sync is not an option for me.

I've called support three times only to be told they would investigate and get back to me to never receive a call back. I've also factory reset multiple times.

Has anyone had any luck with a solution for this? Everything else in the app works fine (lock/unlock, remote start, location, valet, etc). Just no profile sync.

Thanks!!

Profile won’t sync!

I’m having the same issue as other above with connecting the profile to my vehicle. I’ve been giving the run around for nearly a month and still no resolve. The dealership did a software upgrade and the functions work for remote start and door unlock/lock but I cannot get the profile to sync. The MercedesMe app on my vehicle also does not display. Anyone know how to help?

2021 GLC 300 Coupe Profile Issue SOLVED!

Read the notes. This is how my MB dealership eventually fixed my car. I hounded them to get them to finally figure it out.

thanks so much for sharing. Question, was your MercedesMe app showing on your car the entire time? Mine seems to have disappeared. I will get your attached note to my service advisor for him to review and figure out the solution. Hope they won’t charge me AGAIN!

You are welcome! The MercedesMe app was showing up in the car initially (although not fully functional), then it disappeared after the dealership’s 2nd failed attempt to fix it. When they finally figured it out, everything appeared and it is working as advertised/expected.

I appreciate your follow up. This has been the worse journey to resolution possible. The dealership still can’t figure out how to get the MercedesMe icon to reappear on my car. They’ve had my car for the last 7 days and no one seems to know how to remedy it. I’ve shown the screenshot that you shared as well but that didn’t yield any results.
