OMAC Premium Cargo Liner for 2021 GLC-300
- Exact fit in a 2021 GLC-300 cargo area, see Figures 2 thru 5, the manufacturer states it will fit all X253 models 2016-2021
- There’s no chemical smell to the liner
- It is very well constructed of a premium TPE material (Thermoplastic elastomers - a mixture of plastic and rubber)
- The cargo liner is quite flexible, 0.098” (2.5mm) thick, weighs 6 pounds, and there is a raised lip all around the edges to keep spills contained within the liner
- The liner provides an anti-skid surface with several individual compartment sections
My cargo net (MB PN A-253-860-09-00, Figure 6) normally installs with two elastic loops going around the cargo compartment floor (see Figure 7). This would not work well with the liner in place because it would result in the flattening of the liner’s raised edges. One option was to cut some slots in the liner to allow the elastic loop to go through and not flatten the liner’s raised edge. But this would compromise the liquid retaining functionality of the liner. As such, I decided that a better way was to use Zip-ties to attach four corners of the cargo net to the car’s existing cargo clips, see Figures 8 thru 12.
I have not used the very popular Weather Tech liner and so I can’t say how the OMAC Premium Cargo Trunk Liner compares to that. But the OMAC liner is more economical and appears to be a very good quality product that will easily do the job.

My car is equipped with a spare tire and I quickly realized that using a permanent cargo net installation with the Zip-ties would not be good when I needed to lift the cargo floor in order to get to the spare tire.
My solution was to replace the two Zip-ties on the passenger side with two 1/4 in. x 2-3/8 in. Zinc-Plated Spring Links (Home Depot SKU #1001280789, $2.25), see Figures 1 thru 4 below.
This enables me to release the cargo net on the passenger side so that I can get to the cargo floor and the spare tire under it.
