OMAC Premium Cargo Liner for 2021 GLC-300

After researching the currently available cargo liners for my 2021 GLC-300. I decided to purchase an OMAC Premium Cargo Trunk Liner (PN 4746260) at Amazon ($90), see Figure 1. The manufacturer also sells the product direct on their website OMAC USA Shopping Cargo Liners for the same price. They also make all-weather floormats, and a wide array of automotive accessories. My initial impressions are that this is a very good product because:
  1. Exact fit in a 2021 GLC-300 cargo area, see Figures 2 thru 5, the manufacturer states it will fit all X253 models 2016-2021
  2. There’s no chemical smell to the liner
  3. It is very well constructed of a premium TPE material (Thermoplastic elastomers - a mixture of plastic and rubber)
  4. The cargo liner is quite flexible, 0.098” (2.5mm) thick, weighs 6 pounds, and there is a raised lip all around the edges to keep spills contained within the liner
  5. The liner provides an anti-skid surface with several individual compartment sections
The liner comes folded in a shipping box, so when you get it out of the box it is not quite flat. In order to get it completely flat, I laid down the open liner in the sun for some 10 minutes at which time the liner had retained its manufactured shape and was completely flat and ready to install in the car.

My cargo net (MB PN A-253-860-09-00, Figure 6) normally installs with two elastic loops going around the cargo compartment floor (see Figure 7). This would not work well with the liner in place because it would result in the flattening of the liner’s raised edges. One option was to cut some slots in the liner to allow the elastic loop to go through and not flatten the liner’s raised edge. But this would compromise the liquid retaining functionality of the liner. As such, I decided that a better way was to use Zip-ties to attach four corners of the cargo net to the car’s existing cargo clips, see Figures 8 thru 12.

I have not used the very popular Weather Tech liner and so I can’t say how the OMAC Premium Cargo Trunk Liner compares to that. But the OMAC liner is more economical and appears to be a very good quality product that will easily do the job.

Heya. Just bought a new 2021 GLC-300. I also want a cargo mat. The one you both fits the back with the rear seats up. Has anyone seen one that covers the entire back end when the rear seats are down? Thanks!

As far as I've seen, all fitted cargo liners with raised edges are only available for just the cargo area of the car, which means the 2nd row of seats up. After a quick search on the internet I found the Covercraft Universal Cargo Area Liner which would cover the cargo area with 2nd row seats up (Fig 1) or down (Fig 2).

I just found a second more custom fitted option for the GLC-300. But it does cost a little more than the regular cargo fitted liners. Link: CanvasBack MB GLC-300 Cargo Liner

I like that! May have to get one for my GLE. Will definitely make it easier to clean up the pet hair.

Update on my cargo net installation using Zip-ties.

My car is equipped with a spare tire and I quickly realized that using a permanent cargo net installation with the Zip-ties would not be good when I needed to lift the cargo floor in order to get to the spare tire.

My solution was to replace the two Zip-ties on the passenger side with two 1/4 in. x 2-3/8 in. Zinc-Plated Spring Links (Home Depot SKU #1001280789, $2.25), see Figures 1 thru 4 below.

This enables me to release the cargo net on the passenger side so that I can get to the cargo floor and the spare tire under it.

I have used the canvass back liners for years and just bought for the GLC. They are the way to go. May still put this liner over the top for liquid spills.
