Not sure what you are trying to do.
you can buy ‘gender benders’ special convert of plugs with USB-A one end and USB-micro or USB-C the other end. Computer stores, or EBay will have lots to choose. Some are short stump types, others longer with 0.5m or 1.0m length.

Thanks - I get that but trying to find an CarPlay adapter that comes with short USB-C to USB-C
Called Crutchfield, had rewards points - advisor said if it didn't work they would waive return fee so went ahead and ordered it.
Kind of interesting that this was the only wireless CarPlay adapter they sell.
Hi This Mandel from CarPlay Smart Box team, we mainly provide the wireless solution on CarPlay and Android Auto.
We are glad here to let you know we've launched a new wireless adapter (2022 model) that enables wireless CarPlay and Andorid Auto, the further more you can expect that we've added GoogleCast in the box that allows you cast your phone screen to car display.
The inventory in our store will be set @0 at the end of this month cause we will have this new adapter launched on funding platform and re-order only.
Be advised that the CRUX ACP-WL Wireless Apple CarPlay does not work in my 2020 GLC-300. returning to Crutchfield. It doesn't power on, and is not detected via BT.

it worked fine, but i'm not a fan of the menu that pops up when you connect or try to connect to it. I would have thought that the connection would happen automatically when you turn on the car, but I guess that since this is not standard equipment but an add-on it is what it is. Anyways that is my first impression, I just installed it so maybe it will work better as I use it more.. I also have 2 phones that I usually use with the car, mine and the wife, so I believe I need to select which one I want to use, again haven't played with it enough.. I bought the carlinkit 3.0
I ordered May 9th & it is ready to ship out of China as of May 12th. Looking forward to testing functionality - when I receive it I will post pictures and results.

This one casts to the screen, nice. Otherwise is the same as the carlinkit right?
So don't miss this out! Get 18% off on the new.
Please make sure your vehicle has wired Carplay before purchasing. (We do not recommend that you buy wireless adapters from Amazon, because Amazon's retailers are not affiliated with us, and many customers report to us that they do not provide technical support)

@Carlinkit Carplay So how does this work? Do you simply plug your dongle in inside the armrest console and then my phone works wirelessly with Carplay?

Hi, Eddieo45
Thank you for your inquiry.
Just plug it into the USB port. There is no reason for it to work differently whether it is in the front port, console port, or the ones on the back of the console.
Greetings all,
I have a 2022 GLC 300 and got the Ottocast from Amazon. Plug and Play. Fast wake up. Sold directly by Otto cast so if any issues they support directly. Thinking if any software updates from IOS or MB cause issues.
The AutoBox has been working flawlessly in my 2021 GLC. Fast Wakeup and no lag. It comes with 2 cables: USB and USB-C, so the connection to the USB-C in the center console is not a problem. https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/...e?ie=UTF8&th=1
With regard to the USB-C connector sticking out horizontally in the center console, making it very easy to disconnect accidentally or break-off, I am using this right-angle USB-C adapter: https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

LOL! These are the EXACT right-angle adapters that I purchased for my 2020 GLC 300 4Matic Coupe. So far they have worked flawlessly for my wireless Apple CarPlay dongle.
I wish I had seen this thread sooner. My dongle only provides Apple CarPlay. While I don't use any Android technology, the ability to cast video to the middle screen would have been pretty cool (even if it isn't quite legal).
