GLC 300 Oil Change Cost
Right now I'm thinking I'm overpaying for 4 oil changes, but have no clue. Should I get my money back and just have the service done somewhere else?

A - just an oil and oil filter change which is $150 at the dealer
B - adds filters, engine air filter, dust and cabin filters. Not sure about the cost but could be $500 or even more.
You can do services anywhere you like, or your self as I do it wont violate the warrant as theirs is the federal law but dealers always tells you otherwise and want you to bring car for service

The B service is an oil change, wiper blades, air/cabin filter changes, brake fluid replacement, plus inspections
The A service oil change & wiper blades is about $250-300, depending on dealer/location and the B service which also includes the air/cabin filters and brake fluid changes costs $500-$700, again based on dealer/location. The brake fluid wasn't mentioned above (sorry if I missed it), and is a significant part of the B service.
So two of each service is $1,500 - 2,000 in total. It's more about convenience than big savings for those that buy (rather than lease) their cars. You get a small discount (in most cases) and you've locked in costs for the 4 years.
For those that lease (and don't buy out at the end), it's a virtual no-brainer of a deal. Most get the 3 year plan (which is like $1200-1300) unless they have a longer than 36 month lease and/or have 15k miles in their lease -- then they get the 4-year plan. The magic is that Mercedes adds the maintenance when calculating the residual value at the end of the lease. So if you have a 55% residual value (just an example) they add 55% of the maintenance to the residual value, and thus you only pay the other 45% of the maintenance costs during the term of the lease. So for my 4-year maintenance on my 2020 ($1,760 MSRP), they added a little over $20 a month to my payment for 42 months, and ~$900 to my buyout, so I will only pay about $850 for the 4 years of maintenance. Of course if I buy out the car at the end, I end up paying the other $900 (as my buyout is higher than it would have been if I didn't buy the maintenance).
The Best of Mercedes & AMG
They wanted $2560 fur a 3 year maintenance plan for our 2022 GLC300 and our local shop will be about half that for the next 3 years.
If you can go to another dealership online and get a good deal it might be worth it, otherwise I'd pass and find a good foreign car shop near you.
