GLC300 Oil Leak

Wife has a 2020 GLC300 with around 30k miles on it. I maintain it religiously, change oil with Mobile 1 ESP every 3000 to 4000 miles (don’t judge me)

Anyway, 3000 miles ago the plastic cladding under the car was dry and clean. This time when I took it off there was a spray of oil on it. Seems to have a leak or seepage front engine somewhere. I cannot pinpoint it, but seems to be in the area of the front of the engine. It is not so bad that she will run out of oil and I will check it, but I don’t like it. Its not the cam adjustment sensors. Have another Merc and know about those.

Cannot find anything on the TSB’s about oil leaks. Might have to take to dealer, but it’s a bit of a drive. If I can fix it, so much better.
Are there any known issues with this car with oil leaks?

The leak is more of a spray, so its difficult to find.

I know there is an old recall for oil feed lines that may leak. But this car was not recalled for it.

Any pictures you can provide? Don't recall issues like this on GLCs.

When I did tranny oil change a few months ago, I've notice wet spot at the back of the engine but I wouldn't call it a leak. My GLC has 40K mikes on it.

P.S. i do change the oil every 2.5K or 3K miles, so don't judge me ))

Yes, pics please. Wipe some oil with your finger and smell it. It might be AC compressor oil. If engine oil it might be from the engine oil cooler since you describe it as a spray.

Can see the oil on the edges of the hose at the bottom. I cleaned the plastic pan a week or so ago, so no oil there. Taking to dealer in few weeks. But something there is leaking

That looks like it might be a line running from the transmission cooler and leaking at the joints, possibly if there are o rings in there.
Are you sure it's oil and not ATF?

Agreed, it looks like that tube is leaking. Is anything above the tube, that would be the source of the leak? Where is the oil fill cap? Often lube techs spill oil in the area of the fill cap and it can be mistaken for a leak.

Nothing. Took to the dealer, they could not find it. Also its not back. So must have been something small and it probably got plugged up? I am still keeping my eye out for it, but thankfully its gone for now.

I once had a really slow oil leak. It was one of the o-rings related to the oil filter. Change the oil. Clean the shields up. Took more care with those orings during oil changes from then on.
