GLC300 piston problem

I have a 2016 GLC300 with some major engine problems. We found out that 3 of our 4 pistons are cracked and need replacement. The car has 56k miles and is out of warranty. We tried for a good will consideration and were denied. I have read several forms and other people were covered for 100% of the labor and 75% or the parts for the same issue. I also learned that the 2016 was made with cast pistons, and they are no longer doing that (probably defective). They are using cast pistons starting with the 2019 models. Can anyone let me know if they have had success with MB covering part of the cost of this problem and how you went about getting them to step up to the plate? We purchased a Mercedes for reliability, but this will be my last car purchase from them if they don't stand behind their product.

All three cracked? Wow, this is new. Usually its #1.

And what brand does after warranty unless its recall?

I think this one is the longes discussion
