2021 GLC300
New, with questions
Tomorrow, I am picking up my first Mercedes, a 2021 GLC300 with 40k miles. It's a CPO car and I am wondering about the advisability of extending the CPO for 2 years. It's very expensive ($5200!), Normally, I would follow conventional wisdom and put the money in the bank as a hedge against future costly problems. I've only purchased an additional warranty once, for a BMW, and it paid for itself in the first week, but that car had no warranty at all.
In perusing this forum, I have not noticed any common themes about expensive failures and while one side of my brain is saying better safe than sorry, the other side is saying, hey, that's a lot of money and the chances of needing some expensive repair are probably slim since car has been in production for a number of years and most of the bugs have been worked out.
Which side of my brain is correct?
