Steering Wheel Shudder over small bump at 50mph
I drove a new GLC as a loaner vehicle today. It had less than 1.5K miles on it. I was going straight on a smooth road when I ran over a very small irregularity in the road on the Right Hand side. Immediately the steering wheel started a very rapid series of small left right shudder sensations which seemed to emanate from the Right Hand side of the vehicle. This vehicle did not have Lane or Steering Control that I saw and the only prompt to the situation was the bump in the road. This was very concerning when it happened and I told the dealership when I returned the vehicle.

as far as I know the 2023 GLC have not reached our shores. If you are talking about a 2022 think your on the wrong forum. You should post on the X253.

Yes I just purchased a 2022 GLC300 over the weekend and as I was driving it home I felt the same steering wheel shake when going over bumps in the road on the highway. I was completely shocked and my first MB buying experience was destroyed. I took the car into the service department and they are telling me they do not know how to fix it. I told them other people are having the same issues and it is a software update. They told me to go home and schedule another service next week. If anyone knows of the fix for this issue I would appreciate it.

Yeah but none of the service shops I have talked to know anything about a steering wheel shake and they are the ones who have to diagnose the problem. I set up an appointment, told the service department what the car was doing, then I told them the exact software update to fix the issue, then I took the mechanic for a drive to "re-create" the issue, and STILL they did not believe me that my update would solve the issue and they refused to do it.

That is pretty inconvenient when the next Mercedes dealership is another 40 miles one way, I'll have to get a loaner car to make two trips, I'll also have to schedule it into my already busy workload, and no guarantee they will say or do anything different...this problem is ridiculous and the Mercedes (Naperville) dealer that sold the car to me knew of the issue.

I have only went to the dealerships. I don't think customer service is going to get me very far based on my experiences so far with Mercedes general managers and authorized service centers.
