New 2022 GLC300 leaks from trunk

I just bought a new GLC a few weeks ago. I washed yesterday for the first time, and, I found: 1. There is water/steam in the left tail light after the wash. 2. Water leaks from inside panels of the trunk after you open the trunk.
I called the dealer and they said the earilest time then can arrage a fix/loaner car is Dec.5 and the rain season just started.

What would be my best cause of action?

If you can roughly figure out where the water gets in, use some masking tape to seal off the 'gaps' as a temporary fix?
Or, since this is warranty work, maybe try another or next nearby MB dealer?

The 2022 tail lights are different than the 2023/2024 (x254) tail lights so shouldn’t this question be moved to the x253 forum?
