Question 2023 GLC PRICING

It seems like there is now some real movement in getting the launch of the GLC underway. I am ordering a lightly equipped GLC 4 Matic in about a week. A dealer I’ve been working with expects me to get an ordered vehicle in mid June. Does anyone have some actual information on any pricing? One dealer told me straight MSRP, another said he will give me some discount, however, not specific. I’m looking for $1500.00 off sticker, is that realistic?

Ok, going over to Sarasota, Fl to work out the purchase of our ordered Glc. We aren’t sure how this will go, but I’ll update upon our return. I had a conversation with the sales manager regarding some of the discrepancies in the build and a low trade in offer in my opinion and he said they will work with us. I was not convinced they really wanted to sell me the car. I plan to trade and pay cash. My 17’ still looks and feels brand new. Wish us luck as we drive back north ast in a new 23’.

Just received a purchase order from the sales manager, a real gentleman, that I’ve worked with before. This will be our 7th MB from this dealership which is an hour and a half away. I live in NYC so we have several options where to shop. The P.O. is at MSRP, however, he said that he would work on pricing with me. There are 2 options that were NOT requested on the P.O. . The Napa like dashboard, $350, and the heated steering wheel, $250. From what I understand MB will currently not accept orders without those 2 items, sounds crazy, however, another dealer had told me the same thing. I am confident that we will reach an agreement regarding price, we always have with the previous vehicles.
Your deal is much more complicated since you have a trade in vehicle. The used car market remains hot, perhaps not as hot as it once was. What the dealer gives on the new GLC, he takes back on the trade. You should value your trade on some online sites, and more realistically at some other MB dealers. Base your purchase price on MSRP and start comparing. There’s no need to go to Sarasota except for the trade in price. The new GLC can be purchased on the phone. Please let me know how everything goes, does he require a deposit? Good luck…..

I second that - go to a dealer, really any dealer will do, doesn’t need to be MB, and see how much they give you for it if you just outright sell it to them and not buy a car from them.

I hadn't heard about the heated wheel being mandatory but yes the stitched dash and door trim (which I think is an awesome option) is mandatory for now.

UPDATE - Well my GLC 300 arrived at the dealership at the end of day yesterday. Hurray! But, the tradition lives on with delays (being able to order, delay in build date, waiting at German port, arrival date her in the US). So why am I depressed? I'm out of town and can't sign the paperwork till Monday.

FWIW- I got a check from Carmax for $800 more than any other dealer would give me for my previous car. Shop around the trade if you can. I'm going to look into leasing a GLC for the wife, and we have $10K equity in her Lexus lease right now which is coming up in August but we're looking into terminating early with a buyout. Once dealers find out you have equity in a lease, they try everything they can to BS you out of it and keep that for themselves.
She drives 8K miles/year and likes a new car every 2 or 3 years, so a lease seems like an easy way to go for us.
Good luck with your new GLC, and I hope it serves you well! Just know that going in there now that the car is there, they will feel much more bold about relying on your desire to drive it home to give you a worse deal. I worked in the auto industry for years (not in sales), and truly distrust dealers. I used to see the layers of deceit even within the dealership where managers BS sales people, then the higher managers BS their own middle managers- all to extract every dollar. Sure, that's business- but unfortunately the days of going in to a dealer and striking a mutually beneficial deal based on honesty and transparency are long gone.

So we went to Sarasota to pick up our GlC300w4 ordered in January. It sat at the vpc in Brunswick until after the 12th when Mercedes released the cars with wholesale prices to dealers. Our sales rep Bill Z. called and told us it arrived Wednesday, so we made a date for Thursday. Overall our experience was great! We spoke with Brian T. the sales manager before we went over with a few concerns and he said not to worry they would make it work! When we got there Bill met us in the parking lot and we were treated very well. He’s a nice guy and wanted us to be thrilled with the car. This is the only 23’ GLC they’ve received yet and they had it in a sales bay with a bow on it…ala Lexus. It is beautiful! Bill patiently took us through all the changes and functions and when he didn’t know something he found us the answer. Remember this is a first 23’ for them too. When we returned to his office we went through the pricing and the offer on our trade in which Brian made work for us was well over our first offer. In the end, we compromised on a price that was very agreeable to both of us.
During this time, Steve K. The General manager, stopped in and introduced himself. He offered his delight in meeting us and anything he could do to help make our experience great. I was somewhat skeptical going to Sarasota knowing how great we were treated in 17’ and these are different times, but in the end they were wonderful and I would highly recommend them to anyone looking to be treated extremely well and fair in their car buying experience.
our 23’ is the pinnacle version… a much quieter cabin than our 17 which had acoustic glass. The engine seems quicker without any lag. The trailer hitch is a 1 1/4” receptacle and does have the plug for electric. The driver assistance package is great ( it literally drives itself on the highway) and the parktronic is good albeit a little slow. All usb connection are usb c, so an adapter for our flash drive ( dashcam) and our iPhones/ iPad is necessary.
Our all season mats from the 17 still work, but the fit is a little off and the 23 doesn’t have snaps. The burmaster sound system is great, though we rarely listen to music while driving. The HUD is extremely useful! So far we ( my wife) loves her car. I hope you all are as thrilled as we are with your car and your buying experience.

Do you get the acoustic glass for all four side windows? or it just only for the front window?

Windshield and front sides. Very quiet compared to my 17’ with acoustic glass.

Question - Has anyone actually purchased a 2023 GLC? All the dealers here in Houston seem to want MSRP so just seeing what others are paying?

Yes, I leased a GLC 300 SUV RWD yesterday from a South Florida dealer. I have purchased 1 and leased 3 from this dealership with the same salesman. But that did stop him from say we are "not discounting" because there are so few units. In the end I paid $52,107 the MSRP was $55,650. (PINNACLE Trim, with Driver Assist, Nappa Look, Dashcam, Vented Front seats & Hand Painted Pin Striping (about $350-had on the other 2 SUVs)).

Have only had it for 24 hrs. but I really like it. It is quieter than my 2020, the 2.4 additional length makes it feel bigger. The 2 info. screens work well together. I have noticed that there are a lot of improvements over the 2020.

Not sure if older models have a MB emblem shine on the ground when you exit the vehicle?

Between the Red Lines is what you would normally see as you backup. But before you start to go just touch the Icon inside the Yellow Circle you get a wide angle view. That I like.

Inside the Green circle shows the mild hybrid in action. A white light appears (not shown). The Red Arrow shows that there is a car in front of you & if there were other cars around they would show also. The Yellow Circle shows the side view mirror has turned Red so there is a car approaching on the left (a few moments after the picture was taken it appeared). If you look out your window at your mirror you also see the red indicator. That hasn't changed. I like this feature of being able to see what is going on around you by just looking straight ahead.

Your discount was more than I expected. Did you also have a trade in? My daughter ordered a lightly equipped GLC 4 Matic and we are anticipating a $1500.00 discount off MSRP. As these vehicles now trickle in, the dealers will try to hold on to any premium they can garner. If demand is high they may get MSRP, once inventory builds they will discount to move them off the lot. My daughter was more impressed with the car than I was. Looks wise, it certainly didn’t blow me away. She is coming from a GLB. My wife has a 2022 GLC and I a 2021 GLE. I’m sure that this will be a successful addition to the MB lineup, perhaps as successful as the outgoing GLC.
Wishing you good luck with your new vehicle, many years of safe driving, enjoy.

Thanks for the well wishes. I'm down to one car these days. The GLC fits my life style. No need for a 4Matic in Flat, No Snow South Florida. Only had it for a few days and it's has a number of improvements over the 2020.

All I did was return my 2020 GLC lease. I'm sure the dealer will buy it from MNFS and put on his lot before the end of the week. It had 20,900 miles after 40mts.

If your daughter is leasing take any $ an apply toward MSD to reduce APR. I would never put any trade in or down payment on a lease. As for pricing. Edmunds will give you an idea for discounts. This link is my zip code yours will be a few dollars different.

I LIKE. it only works in "E" or "C" and it's so smooth you don't feel a thing. Not sure what it will do for milage. Most of my driving is short distances. The 2020 over 1,700 miles got 19mpg at a average speed of 17mph.

Compared to my 2020 the engine no longer sounds like a diesel, the cabin noice is down by 100%, it's faster at the start thanks to the mild hybrid intergration, dashcam seems to work pretty good, like the 2 screens, getting use to their operation which is similar to the 2020 but different, comes with a spare tire, wireless charger works but a little hard to place in its spot, the shift patels on the 2020 wouldn't upshift but the 2023 does, in drive #3 you can upshift to 4 or 5 in the 2020 it wouldn't go past 3. Still learning all the various settings. I'm very pleased and glad I waited for the 2023 even if it seemed that they would never arrive.

One other thing that I noticed yesterday. The active distance control shows the cars around you as pictured below in the photos I posted. BUT, to my surprise it also showed a motorcycle that past me as a motorcycle and not a car.

Thanks for the report, We also ordered the dash cam. Is it a default always on or do you need to turn it on for each trip ?
Just did a drive by of the dealer we ordered from to see if anything arrived, nope at least not ours. They did have a new $200,000, Maybach GLS600

You need to turn it on manually everytime the vehicle is started, for now...

GLC Pricing

Just got a quote from a dealer on an ordered GLC. The discount was a little over 4%. She said this is the best she can do, it is a minimally equipped 4 Matic if that makes any difference. I believe that I can do a little better perhaps somewhere around 5-7% off MSRP.
Does anyone know what the money factor and the residual value of the car is on a 3 year lease? Thanks

The money factor and even residual value is actually negotiatable some dealerships make money on both a marked up money factor and a lower residual value (the latter also makes the lease payment higher). Some actually mark up the price and all (price, money factor, lower residual) for those that care more about profit than customers or they just hope that customers don't know. So shop around, there is a limit of how much money factor a dealership can be marked up, don't fall for them saying money factors is set by MBUSA and can't be changed. Good luck!

Answer is NO not for the current 2023 MBUX (NTG 7). You can tell that you are recording by the RED dot on the Cameras. I use a 8gb dive and get 2 minute clips. Not sure how many will fit on drive but it's a lot. If you go to Apps you can see the video clips. I re-arranged my apps so that the Dashcam and Gallery are next to each other. I like the dashcam. It's not to fancy but does the job. I had a dashcam mounted on my front windshield which I moved the rear. Plugged into the 12v outlet and it records - how do I put it - "my posterior".

8g DRIVE

The RED dot on the camera shows that it's recording.

In loop mode the last file is overwritten

Gallery with video clips that are recorden on the drive.

Sample picture from Gallery. The drive photos are better.
