I got $4000 off msrp $55000 without too much negotiation, not sure if it's good price for a 2023 model. Or should I wait for the 2024 model in Oct? I'm in NYC area if that matters.

I’m also in NYC. Which NYC dealer you went to? I’m waiting for a 2024 because of the new color that’s not available in the 2023 model, but if I was you I would get the 23 since you saving money.

Check MB Paramus first. They sent me 4000 off otd price directly, without back and forth negotiation. Let me know if you can get better deal.

$4k seems like a very fair deal. Are there any other components to your purchase? Are you leasing or buying? Before car reached dealerships, about a month ago, I was told I could get $2k off MSRP. Perhaps the GLC is not selling as well as anticipated. I do see inventory starting to build at several dealerships in my area. Any trade in, any aftermarket extras? Don’t mean to pry, however, that’s about the best discount I’ve seen thus far. Enjoy your new vehicle.

Buying with cash. They gave me the quote before I talked about trade-in. They don't care, they gave me a low trade-in value and I declined. Then they recommend me to trade it on carvana or sell to private. Haven't pull the trigger yet.

Was this for an ordered car or in stock? Maybe I’m thick, but what is “otd price”?

In stock. Is there any disadvantage of in stock cars? I think there's no difference if the configuration is what you want, right? These are newly built anyway. Dealer said it's in Baltimore port, arriving soon.

Two dealers quoted me MSRP price on 2023 about a month ago.. Now one of those said they would give a discount. My ordered one will be here in about 6 weeks so hoping I can get a good discount then!.

This is my first time buying from Mercedes. If you ordered a new one, you can decline the deal after it's manufactured? I thought you need to pay the full amount to get the order built.

Hi Benny99, there is a significant tax savings when you trade in your car. You only pay tax on the difference between the two vehicles rather than the tax on the full amount of the new vehicle. Make sure that it’s worth it to sell to Carvana or the like. Living in NYC, the tax rate is nearly 9%, the savings can be in the thousands if your trade in has significant value. And yes, on the new GLC, dealers will place an order for a new vehicle that the customer has the right of refusal, no money down. This can in certain scenarios benefit the buyer and other scenarios the seller. IMHO, you may want to revisit negotiating your trade with your dealer, it’s just easier and he may not want to risk losing the deal on the GLC.

I know that. They are offering $8000 for my Honda Accord 2015, that's $8700 value considering the tax savings. Main reason is that I have two minor damage records on carfax, nothing major actually. I still think I can easily sell it for more, above $10K. KBB shows 14.5K for good condition for private sell. I don't think two minor damage records make that big difference.

Like Bryce 1023 said, you do not pay upfront. You negotiate price when vehicle arrives at dealer and you do not have to buy it. Looking on truecar in houston area, avg price paid is about 2% off MSRP.

Washington DC/Richmond quoting $1000 - $2000 off MSRP (2.5-3.5%) on 2023s. Picking one up this Friday in DC.
Decided to purchase a 2023 vs order 2024 because this is last year for Selenite Grey.

Ended up with Pinnacle level because Exclusive models with options we wanted in grey were very hard to find.

Now the best I can get is 10% off msrp, but I noticed the options in stock were manufactured in Feb/Mar. I was wondering if they had sat in the inventory for too long? Btw, another dealership said he can gave me $4000 off if I order 2024 in July. Both sound like great deals, hard to make the decision.

Ordered my GLC yesterday, got about 9.x% off, pinnacle trim. Not exactly 10%, but good enough for me to leave the deposit.
