Which BMW did you buy, if it's not a secret? And why did you choose BMW after Mercedes? I’m just also considering buying a new car, but I’m already looking at the German auto industry with great concern.

here’s to hoping. Unfortunately if they say no, I have to start over because my attorney doesn’t do litigation.
Just an update. I have an appointment to surrender the car at the dealership this weekend, and they say they have my check in-hand I will update after I get back.

I heard back from attorney this afternoon. Despite additional repair records, Mercedes refused any type of buyback, said lemon law doesn't apply, and no compensation. So, now I have to find an attorney who does litigation. Recommend that if you're in this situation that you verify your attorney will provide litigation if necessary. I suspect that Mercedes knew my attorney did not, and that is why they refused all requests because the attorney said that it qualifies under lemon law in North Carolina.

So- the saga continues......

i dont understand the point of a lemon law attorney that doesn’t litigate you could write the demand letters yourself

Right??? I had no idea until he told me once he received the initial denial. They never discussed/disclosed it in our initial meeting or subsequent follow-ups. So, now I'm back to square one 7 months later.

2023 GLC 300
Ok so my saga is FINALLY over

quick basics

2023 GLC300 Purchased new April 2023. MSRP $58k, paid $53.8k through an Autonation MB dealership. I am in NV.
Was basically in the shop from end of April until Halloween. Had a GLA loaner vehicle which I put a TON of miles on since I have a 50 mile commute each way to work, and some weekend road trips.
MB refused to take me seriously with a buyback request, so got an attorney.
December MB offered me $3,000 "last and final offer" to keep the car. In my mind, I was hoping for $10k, but might have settled on $5k, since the major issue SEEMED to be fixed. Still had issues with the screen going out, however. $3k was such an insult, I chose to reject it and go to court.
MB caved and offered me $65,500 to buy it back, which was better than I could have ever hoped for, and would have taken even if the car was 100% perfect, as I could just go buy a 2024 with zero miles.
Ended up with 7,500 miles on the GLC when I turned it in today.

For people who don't think getting an attorney is worth it, and just decide to trade it in/sell it--I took it to Carmax after the $3,000 offer to see the numbers. They only offered me $39,900 for it, and that's when it had about 5,000 miles on it, I couldn't believe it. If I would have taken their $3,000 offer, I would have lost over $20,000 in about 8 months after figuring fees/taxes/etc. Instead, I ended up getting every penny back I paid for the car, every penny in interest I paid on my loan, all fees and taxes, including registration. They didn't take away anything for mileage AND I even got the money back for my oil changes. I actually came out ahead money somehow. The lawyer was a godsend

I returned this car over a month ago, I am still getting all kinds of electrical errors sent to my phone for this car lol. I can see someone driving it around too--everywhere they go, which is a little scary. it looks like they just threw it back on the lot and resold it.

2025 models will be out before we know it and they still haven't solved this issue!

The official build site is still selling 2023 models. I suppose that should mitigate new sales somewhat!

@KrayzieVetteGLC, what did you end up getting?

I already have three other cars so I haven’t really bought anything yet. I do wanna get an SUV eventually I’m actually waiting for the new Foresters to come out. I’m done with German “luxury” cars.

my parents have a GLE450 and GLS600 and the GLE is only 4 years old and maybe 35k miles on it and it looks like it’s over 10 years old inside already. Seats are falling apart in 3 different places. The GLS seems to be ok, but they barely drive it, so who knows. MB just seems like it’s gone WAY downhill lately, and I refuse to give them another dollar of my money.

My 10-month old GLS already has 2 recalls on it so my confidence in the brand is flimsy at best!

Just an update. Attorney filed suit against MBUSA, and I should hear something in the coming week(s) as they have 30 days to respond. Once it's all settled out, I'll post an update. I thought the issues had been fixed, but it's not. I got failure messages pop-up on Friday for lane change, camera views, auto braking, and cruise control. I can't wait to be done with this car, and I will heavily research my next one!

New X3 (G45) comes out late summer. Consider only if you’re not concerned with loss of buttons. Otherwise, the tried and true MY24 X3 should be on your shortlist!

Will be going back to BMW. I had 23 x4 m40i I traded for the GLC. Will just depend on how long bm drags this out, but got my eye on the MY24 x3

Surprised you would let the M40i go. That's a HOF B58 engine in there!

GLC X254
Hi. My first post here. I got my GLC X254 in January 2024. Been driving for 5 months. One day I reached home, parked the car, locked it as usual. After an hour, I tried to open my car door but there was no response at all. I tried to open the boot, it gave a click sound but couldnt lift up. You have to manually lift it up. The screen was blanked, no logo, nothing. MBUX also. After a while, it was fine and back to normal. 4 days later, it happened again. I totally cannot start the car for hours. The mobile MB team came over to my residence and they unplugged the 12V battery at the back. The car is back to normal. I sent in the car after 2 days of driving and the car is in the workshop for 2 days. They are still trying to resolve the issue. Anyone has this issue?

I read the forum, most of your cars were responsive, giving error messages. Mine completely blackout. Nothing! Thanks in advance!

What did the issue turn out to be? Was it resolved? Any follow up?

Hi sorry for delay in replying. The issue was with the fuse box. The car was in service center for 12 days because they had to order the spare part and waited for its arrival. Been driving for 2 days. So far so good. Cross my fingers and hope will not happened again. I was told there was another car having the issue as well. Once changed, all is good. Have a great day ahead!

2023 Mercedes Benz GLC 300 4matic
2023 GlC 300 4matic will not start

I am the owner of a 2023 mercedes benz glc300 4matic and this i have several issues in a year of ownership. This first month we owned it after about a week the car would not start. That was about three weeks the dealer had the car for a software update. Well since then the car has failed to start several times because of a low 12 volt battery. I tried charging the battery and that didn't help. Its at the dealer now again and my wife and I are now frustrated and considering an attorney to lemon law this vehicle. The e service advisor says we don't drive it enough to charge the battery. I say the battery consumption is to great for the charging system to overcome the drain.
quite sad
Michael

Do you leave the car in the garage unlocked and/or ever press the lock button twice?
