2023 GLC Missing Enhanced Ambient Lightening
#26
Not really Simple and Easy as we told ![crazy](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/crazy.gif)
My 2c:
ordered kit on eBay
turns out there is a difference between MY ‘23 and ‘24
hard wire modification was required on ‘24 model, even though seller claimed it was a simple “plug and play”
Refused to modify car wiring and facing possible warranty issues
eBay seller was kind enough to accept return and provided the shipping label
Caveat: make sure what are you into before ordering magic enhanced ambient air went light kit
Disclaimer: I am not a car mechanic, the highest achievement was replacing the air filter in the front passenger foot well

I had the same experience on my 24' GLC300 as well. I ordered the kit from eBay. The kit is supposed to piggyback on the foot-well connection. However in the 24', the connection is keyed slightly different and you won't be able to get the kit connector to mate properly to the stock foot lamp connector. I've sent mine back and I am just hoping that maybe they have an updated set later on.
Just to make sure members are aware of what are they getting into.

Paid a bit more than the kits on eBay, but well worth it to get genuine parts but mostly for his assistance installing them. Highly highly recommend.

Yes- it is a lot of work- I just purchased enhanced ambient lighting from the gentleman in the video. Genuine Mercedes OEM parts. He also changed the code in the vehicle remotely, via my laptop connected to the diagnostic port. This guy walked me through the entire installation process- provided video instruction and texted back and forth with me extensively. Nicest, most patient and helpful man on the planet. No way I could have done it without him- would not have even tried - besides wouldn’t have been able to change the code in the vehicle anyway. .

got it, I thought you installed it yourself, usually part numbers are on boxes\packets that parts come in as well as printed on parts itself.

I bought mine 3 days ago, amg ext/int with the pinnacle trim and doesn't have it in the vents, but the salesperson said it does. I also have a 2023 c300 and its everywhere, which makes no sense how this one doesn't. I'm getting close to leaving the brand all together. They are very much nickel and diming and they don't even give you what you pay for and hope that people don't notice it.

The current trend is that mass market cars are getting more luxurious and luxury brands are getting cheap. They'll meet somewhere in the middle so buy what you like!
Very few folks are on board w/the removal of physical buttons and this would have been the last frontier that German luxury could've maintained but they've chosen to lose even more ground to mass market cars!

I guess maybe because I’m old. I don’t understand the fascination with lighting up the interior of the car. When I had a Saab, they actually had a setting that shut off all except the necessary lights on the dash at night.

I agree with Elvis, I hope from our new GLC & E class to my 1999 M Roadster at night is is a pleasure to see a dimly lit set of basic gauges
