2023 GLC Missing Enhanced Ambient Lightening

Hey guys,
I've recently purchased my 2023 GLC with MSRP at 59k and OTD at the same price. I thought it was a good deal.
The only problem with the car is that, even if it comes with the exclusive package, MB mandatorily takes out the enhanced lightning due to "Chip shortage" but only gives you $200 credits back.
Though I've already taken the deal, I really want this enhanced ambient lighting.
I do see some third-party selling vents with lightning which you can install on your own. Does anyone ever try to install it by yourself? Will that invalidate the car warranty?
Any ideas will be appreciated.

Mine was missing some enhanced lighting too around the vents and I saw the $210 credit. That's the least of my worries though! Needing to call roadside assistance for car #2 (traded brand new '23 GLC #1 in for 48V error, non starting issue) at around 300 miles is much more concerning. At least the missing enhanced ambient lighting was a known, disclosed 'issue'. It's much worse to be surprised when you load your new car up with groceries and your car won't start, while your ice cream is melting in the 90 heat! Word of advice, before investing in aftermarket upgrades to your ambient lighting....make sure you don't have any of these other issues that so many of us have had! You may find you want to get rid of the thing for something more reliable! Not trying to be a downer, just hate to see more people going thru these issues with their brand new cars and spending money they might lose if they have to get rid of it, due to it being a lemon or what have you.

I have a case open with the NHTSA on the lane assist feature, which is sketchy at the very best.

not sure what you meant by pay for AMG line?
because the dealer said, it can't be added on the car as it has to come from the factory.

I read that if you get the amg line the chip shortage doesn’t affect you. They must have some and reserves it for even people buying the amg package.

Hi, thanks for the response. Would it be paired or synched with factory ambient lighting that came with the car? Or it works separately that can be controlled through a remote or a mobile app.
Can you also please share the ebay link for it.
Appreciate your response

i talked to tint world in Fremont and they said they can add the led lights on my car which can be controlled through a remote or a mobile app.
I wouldn't be able to install them myself and appreciate if you can suggest someone who can do that to me in Fremont, CA.
Also, would there be any warranty issues arise due to this?
Thanks.

After we install the led air vents, Can you please tell me if the light comes out of the AC vents only or from the central console and the area below the AC vents and mbux?
I see you said there are connecting wires between them.
thanks for your help.

I ordered mine with 894 (AMG-Line + Premium plus pack) last January and it arrived in October without 894!!! of course they charged me for it. I'm afraid it's in the hands of my lawyer. sad!

They also said that it was impossible to retrofit the ambient lighting (That is a lie, of course)
and finally they offered to exchange my car for another one in stock. The salesman went through a list of GLCs (and even coupés) but none had the options to match mine, he said. So I checked, and OF COURSE there are matching cars, but they had options I had not purchased, thus they were more expensive than mine (94.000 EUR).

MBWorld Fanatic!
Not really Simple and Easy as we told ![crazy](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/crazy.gif)
My 2c:
ordered kit on eBay
turns out there is a difference between MY ‘23 and ‘24
hard wire modification was required on ‘24 model, even though seller claimed it was a simple “plug and play”
Refused to modify car wiring and facing possible warranty issues
eBay seller was kind enough to accept return and provided the shipping label
Caveat: make sure what are you into before ordering magic enhanced ambient air went light kit
Disclaimer: I am not a car mechanic, the highest achievement was replacing the air filter in the front passenger foot well
