Burmester is now a separate option
I placed an order this week for a March build. Burmester is now not part of the Pinnacle package and is an additional $910. How long has it been this way?
p.s. I still ordered the pinnacle package and the Burmester.

2024 GLC-300 & 2022 GLE-350
I was going to order a 2024 GLC300 SUV with the Burmeister sound system, because the surround sound on my wife's GLE350 is absolutely stunning (and I wear hearing aids!).
But the salesperson said the GLC300 Burmeister didn't have the surround sound effect. So I didn't bother pursuing the matter.

However, I do see a distinction in the MY24 GLS order guide that you may not be able to play the same MCH files w/the 810 package any longer and need to upgrade to the 811 High-End 3D package.
Since MY24 GLCs don't have an 811 option, that salesperson may be right! Mercedes cost cutting again and audiophiles are the losers!
The only way to find out is by bringing a USB w/your MCH FLAC files to test it out as I did on the test drive!

Thanks for confirming. Other GLC300 online listings and window stickers also say "Surround Sound" for the Burmester sound system. Here is one example from a local dealer...

Since Mercedes has a "Satisfaction Guaranteed" program that allows you to trade in a car for an equal or better car within 30 days or 1,000 miles, I'm going to try that, IF the Burmester Surround Sound really is present on the car. It's easy to ascertain this in the radio "sound" section of the touch screen. Thanks again for the constructive feedback.
