I factory ordered a 2025 GLC 4MATIC about one month ago. It should take three months for delivery. I have factory ordered my Mercedes for the last 30 years because I want to build it the way I want it, not what happens to be on the lot. However, with Trump's 25% tariff, I may never get my car. I am not willing to spend $16,000 more to buy it. Unfortunately, it is the only MB SUV built in Germany. I guess anything could still happen in the next two months, but I am really bummed out about this. I was so looking forward to getting this car. It is exactly what I want. I don't think Mercedes or the dealer would eat the extra cost. It will look like this:

Great color combination!! I'm sure there will be changes in the next few months.....better or worse no way to know. Pick a pain point and be willing to dig a little. I guess it will be 3 to 5 k more. They would rather sell at a loss than not sell at all. Ask for customer loyalty cash for next purchase, extended warranty and other considerations. Still worth it.
My factory order just arrived and I picked it up on March 27,,,,,,,, I googled this tariff just before I went to pick it up and saw that they were going into effect on the second or third of April so I just got under the line,, but I want to say this is insane. what is he trying to do,, I really don't even think he thinks about what this will mean???

I'm with you 100%. The car comes from Germany, but the dealer is an American company. They either lose a big sale or lose a lot of money if they eat some of the increase. How is this a win? If I can't buy this car, there is no way I will then go out and buy an "American" car. Both my cars are in great shape, so I will just drive and maintain them indefinitely.
