Quote: Interesting. I just checked but I don't have any updates in queue for me. May be they are rolling it out in batches.. or may be I have it already? I will have to check. My last update was on a day after we brought it home, Oct. 3rd.

As far as what we signed up for, I am guessing it would work?? The order page says that it includes lifetime of recoding (It's an open question what if they can't anymore!!) Another open question is what if MB enabled it already before they got to recode it for us!
I got it coded today. The good news is that it didn't brick my car so far. I have to try it out tonight after dark to see if it worked.

Nice! How long did it take? Just curious. They say it's less than an hour.

Btw, I have scheduled for coming Monday. I got the dongle last week but had some scheduling conflicts so Monday it is for me.

It took about 25 minutes. My biggest worry was losing Wi-Fi during the coding. I even had a battery pack connected to my laptop just in case. Make sure you don't start your car until he tells you to. You will hear and see a lot of strange things on the displays, but he will warn you that it is normal. It all worked very well. I can't wait until it gets dark outside so I can check it out. Good luck!

I just tried it out and it seems to be working great! Read up in the manual about how it works. I had to go into the car settings menu under exterior lighting and turn on a few sliders. Make sure the main light switch is in auto and then push the left stalk forward to light up the white "A" on the driver's screen. When the high beans come on you will see a blue light. There are three levels of high beam. Good luck!

That’s great, I’ll be doing mine soon too! Did you make any other coding changes while you were at it?

No, I didn't know there was anything else available. What I really wanted was video in motion, but he said that was impossible. I was very nervous during the coding, but it worked fine.

Another happy customer - got the ILS+ lights enabled and changed the default drive mode to Individual. Everything went very smoothly - since I'm very security conscious I just bought a cheap PC laptop since I didn't want to allow external access to my main Mac. There are a few other uses for the PC, like programming the DSC controller for the suspension on my Porsche GT3 (they don't support Mac, so I had to borrow a PC in the past).

The new headlights are amazing when driving on twisty mountain roads, they light up everything, sides, up, and down. If there's a car in front of me they notch out a box around them, but throw light past them to the sides, so they are actually benefitting from my lights even though I'm not blinding them!

Fantastic. Glad it worked for you. I have to admit I was a little bit nervous sitting there watching the coding, but it worked out fine. Could you explain what you mean by "changed the default drive mode to Individual"

There are numerous defaults that can be changed in software beyond what the user can adjust. Some common ones are listed in RJ’s ad. I wanted to be able to choose the drive mode and have the setting persist every time I drive the car, so I had them set the default to “individual” mode. My preferred settings are stiffer damping and amplified throttle response, but lighter steering effort.
