Ohio - One Plate State

I purchased a new to me '24 GLC300 AMG Package from Ohio and today discovered no mounting bracket for the front license plate. I called the MB Dealer that sold me the vehicle, they said they'd send me PN: 254-885-00-01 Front License Bracket for free but I needed to have a MB Dealer install it, also shared a minor Caveat, no hardware or installation instructions coming with it. I looked on YouTube and not-ta. Anyone have a copy of the install instructions, perhaps it just uses clips and screws. I'm not worried about drilling a hole if I have to, I know some people are extremely averse to drilling holes and go with a tow hook type bracket. Thank and have a Great Day

It just goes on the front bumper and gets secured with self-tapping screws into the bumper. Just needs two screws. No need for dealer install if you can handle a screwdriver. I have a C63, but the GLC bracket looks similar. I had mine on while traveling in Europe during my 2 months European Delivery trip, but the VPC removed it and fixed the holes in the bumper when it arrived in the US. I didn't put it back on, even though it's technically mandatory to have a front license plate in California. Worst case it's a $10 fix-it ticket and I'll figure out how to affix it temporarily with tape or something if I ever get one. It's been 7 years. I only ever got one fix-it ticket in the past with a previous car while it was parked on the street in San Francisco. Since then, I don't park on the street in San Francisco anymore . It cost the city more in lost tax revenue from me not spending money in the city anymore.

In that I dont like to drill, Ive used Sly Brackets on my two current vehicles. Other wise, two self tappers and its easy peasy.

Is “not-ta” the same as “nada”?

I would simply go with out it.....did for years and years and years. Then moved to FL - a one plate state.

Yes, but I suspect being from Hollywood where Seinfeld was produced, "nada" would be the preferred spelling.

OldManandHisCar, You're lucky, here in NH they really enforce that + I live across the street from the local Police Chief so not a good move on this end.
