clc 43 c4 held in Baltimore VPC

My GLC 43 C4 has been at the Baltimore VPC since July 30. It was being held for a "software update" and now it is being held for a "parts modification" that is due to be installed on Sept. 8 or 15. Does anyone know what parts are being replaced? Any info would be appreciated. I am wondering if there is something wrong with the unit or it has been damaged.
Thanks,

There is more information regarding this issue on the last page of the GLC Waiting Room forum. To sum up quickly, there's about 45 GLC 43's at the port in Baltimore and Long Beach due to modifications. Originally they were supposed to be released on August 31st, now I read VPC ready date is September 15th. I have called as well as others have called MB corporate trying to find out when our cars will arrive, but that just led to more unanswered questions and frustration. Mostly you're referred back to the dealer who is reading computer codes. I too have been waiting - 6 weeks since VPC arrival. This issue is affecting 2017 and 2018's. We all must have some common option that's holding things up because 2018 GLC 43's are starting to appear at dealers, but not ours.

Interesting, didn't realize they were holding the coupes as well. Welcome to the not so esteemed group of waiting in limbo for your '43.

Thanks,
Looks like I lucked out with either options or timing. My 43 arrived around the week of the 4th (July) and the dealer got it a little over a week later.

Can you post your options? Curious if there's anything that stands out.

Posted this already in the GLC 300 thread, re-posting here as well. The 2018 E63's are being held @ VPC's as well for emissions certification and ECU reprogramming. No ironclad release dates yet. I suspect this is what's holding up our cars as well.
edit: A kind poster in the E63 thread pointed out all they have is rumor and supposition, so perhaps it ain't emissions/ecu.

Mine has been in Long Beach since 8/2... my options as I can think off my head:

Polar White GLC43 SUV
Pano Roof
Advanced Lighting Package
Multimedia Package
Night Package
Burmester
AMG Performance Exhaust
Black MBTex Interior
No more patience to wait for this thing

SA says his distribution rep isn't giving him any info on what the mods are. Might be lucky to know without guessing.

GLC43
Maybe this is a good sign - just saw a new 2017 GLC AMG 43 show up at my dealer in AZ. Well equipped at 70k including prem 3, HUD, advanced parking, pano roof and heated and vent seats. I am going to call my dealer and do my best to get some information if these cars are starting to be released and why this one was released to my dealer and not mine since mine was already sold - to me.

I suppose each additional 43 that shows up at a dealership is a good sign. I'm pretty much past antsy and the point of caring. It's been 5 months what's another month. And then another. My SA indicated a 9/15 ready date for mine. Let's see if that sticks. Hopefully you get yours before the actual 2018 year rolls around.

Normally i'd be ok waiting but, I had vacation planned out to take mine to the Virginia City Hillclimb. Still hoping the '43 arrives in time.
