I don't love the compression for 18/19, but I am willing to live with it. The Audi SQ5 is too conservative (not clear an RSQ5 is going to be that much better) and the X4M does not come until 2019. I'm still bullish on this model.

I am still debating between:
Polar White, Diamond White and Cardinal Red for exterior
And between
Designo Platinum White/Black and custom order Designo Classic Red/Black.
They are quoting 12 weeks for the red, but I don't know if that is from now or from start of production. The latter would not be acceptable.

Regarding the custom Designo Red/Black seats
1- what is the additional cost above a normal $3k designo white/black option?
2- has AMG confirmed a full red color seat or are they only willing to follow two tone color of Red and black seat like non designo pepper red in center with black on sides framing Peoper red?
3- Did they get back to you on what 12 weeks delivery date?

2) It isn't a full red seat. They are offering to take the Designo Platinum White/Black interior and replace the Platinum White with Classic Red with diamond stitching. So it would be on the door inserts and the seat inserts but not the whole seat and not the lower dash. They said they can do a full red seat and whatever other bits I want in red, but that would be a more expensive and longer process where they send the car from the factory in Bremen to the studio in Affalterbach where they can do unlimited customization. I declined that option because I suspect it would take longer and cost 5 digits.
3) No response on timeframe yet from Germany. MBUSA says it will be 12 weeks from start of production of the model.
